@Matthew Poat @Charles Moore colleagues support is very useful, especially in later stages when they see that you are definitely being published and that you are getting tailwind. Even my own sister told me at 250 -"you’ll never make it" - and now she is pushing orders like a regular insurance saleswoman!

I got my firm’s marketing team help after 2 months of imploring, and they put a link in my firms’ portal (we have about 2,500 employees in London) and while all i got was banter in the early stage of the campaign - now i’m actually long like 20-30 orders from co workers.  true some of them i had to grab and take out the credit card physically (lol), and some only agreed if someone else paid for them with the card and they gave him cash,  but still it’s is 90% more than at the start.

Charles - outside reviews doesn’t help as these people tend to have 4-10 followers at best likely from people who prob already followed u (i.e. other desperate authors like us). But - having said that - I think it helps the moral which is also a very important aspect of this grind we call a campaign.

@Jeremy Thomas is my witness, that I’ve tried every possible strategy in the book (i moaned to him on several occasions): crowdfunding strategy by Tim Ferris, Social Media, Forums, Blogs, Goodreads giveout, the works! at the end of the day - the personal touch and the piers/friends/colleague appeal is the way to go, while the others are just bonus orders, if and when they come.

ANYONE who wants to use my help and experience from these hectic 4 months (which are not over yet! still 70 orders to fill) - don’t hesitate to DM or Email me. I’m at your disposal.

Charles Moore liked an update for The Sleeping Man

    Good evening Dreamers,

As I begin my road trip to my new duty station, I’m left to try and explain my book in a small motel to a town with a population of 7... sorry, 6 (someone left). I have some... disturbing news. Today marks the day where the actual number of pre-orders matches the projected number of pre-orders.

I know, I know. While it is awesome that this is the very first time the actual number has reached the projection, I would very much like to knock out these last 25 to Quill, so I can continue to push my book to everyone I meet like this creature.

Thank you to everyone that has pre-ordered, don’t forget the many uses of multiple copies. If you haven’t pre-ordered yet, won’t you please? Keep us above the line and help a good cause!

    Art work soon!

    Sweet dreams,

    Stephen

Charles Moore liked an update for Wings of the Crallow

      To the Company:

Not sure if I ever mentioned this on my project page. Or if it wasn’t obvious or clear. -- Wings of the Crallow is actually written much like a trilogy. In fact, I had it separated as a series until I drafted out the "fat" and combined the story into one book.  Here’s a basically spoiler-free rundown of how this book is more like 3-books-in-one:

      BOOK I: DREAMS

At first glance, this seems to be a Middle Grade story. However, that is not the case. Early on, being eight years old, Michael dreams of finding a new world. And find it he does! But will he be prepared for what is to come? Can he bear the knowledge and carry it like a burden? Or will he turn and run?

      BOOK II: WASTELANDS

Here’s the dark middle chapter. Michael is now in high school and now faces the world “alone.” He stumbles upon a drug-of-sorts, and becomes an addict. Can Michael break the cycle and overcome? Will he find meaning in his life? A reason to go on?

      BOOK III: AWAKENINGS

The finale. Michael is in college. An adult. He knows there’s more to him than meets the eye. But what exactly? Who was he as a child? Where did he go and why are so many of his memories missing? These and other questions drive Michael to wonder: How can one man possibly gain the strength to move mountains?
