A teensy quibble, but I’d say, "The July 2007 terrorist attack had made..." etc. rather than assuming readers don’t know about it. Anyone worth their salt will!

But in July 2007 a terrorist attack on London had made news around the world and changed his life forever.

Just visible through the grimy glass, organs float in a pale, viscous fluid --- like grotesque jellyfish -- twitching spasmodically in the darkness.

For those of you who have written lovely comments and reviews and placed orders, thank you! If I haven’t returned the favor (yet) it’s not because I don’t want to, but because life is a little nuts right now with my son’s soccer season starting up and my daughter’s show, which I’m costuming, winding down, plus a delightful bout of bronchitis and edits for one of my YA projects for my agent. Hopefully I’ll have some time to read and comment after this weekend...of course, then Pony Club season starts...maybe crowd-funding isn’t meant for busy mummies?

I wonder who is in charge of that kind of thing? Maybe worth bringing up on the Goodreads thread, if someone hasn’t already...

Indeed, it drives me CRAZY that you can’t search by genre in here! I mean, I read all genres and am happy to consider pitches by anyone, but it would be nice to connect with those writing similar things to me, even if I don’t make my support exclusive...

I always love the editing process. I think I always learn a lot about myself and my writing, however many books I’ve edited!
