C. Brennecke liked an update for Dax Harrison

Hello readers!

I’m emerging from my writing cave ever so briefly to present you with something very fun! Last month, I was contacted by a Mr. Devon Oakander, a talented acting school graduate who took a liking to the adventures of Dax Harrison. Devon asked if there were any plans for an audiobook version of Dax, and if so, could he submit a recording to audition as narrator?

Needless to say, I was completely humbled. I would LOVE to hear Dax narrated in all his ridiculous glory. As I have been focusing on completing and publishing the print manuscript, I have yet to research the ins and outs of audiobook publishing. If it ends up being feasible, then yes, there will be news on this front at an undetermined point down the road.

In the meantime, you can CLICK HERE to listen to Devon’s terrific reading of the book’s prologue! I believe he matched the over-the-top opening scene quite well with an old Hollywood radio quality in his voice. But don’t take my word for it. Go give it a listen!

....Okay, did you listen? Good stuff, right? He even managed to pronounce "Carteagan" in a much fancier fashion than I originally meant. Haha. Feel free to share the link around and get some more readers on the Dax bandwagon!

As always, my thanks again to each and everyone of you. I hope you find my humble little adventure book to be worth the wait. The writing continues. I even decided to use a bunch of vacation time off work through the second half of February. I want to be laser focused with as little distractions as possible. Wish me luck!

-Tony

My brother is a computer programmer, and he said that some people reach a point, beyond which social media completely bamboozles them. Sadly, inkshares has me bamboozled.
So far, I’ve lost track of all the people whose books I plan to read, and get lost between who I’ve followed and which book. I have no idea what to do with the dashboard. And just now I somehow earned 10 inkshare dollars because someone bought a book I recommended. I have no idea what to do with this, or why I really got it. I also have no idea about how to promote myself.
But what I have discovered is that there are some damned brilliant writers on here, so I will keep on plodding along, adding comments here and there, and hopefully get back to people who have asked me to read their work.
My apologies if I haven’t got back or read your work yet.
I find a friday night working in the emergency room easier than figuring out self promotion.
Anyway, I love this site, and am enjoying the reading.

I’m going to be talking about this topic a lot more in the next few weeks, but with all the other fellow Inkshared books releasing soon, consider this my opening salvo.

+8000 words since Jan. 24. It’s almost like I’m a writer or something.

            C. Brennecke liked the forum thread, Inkshares Authors Anthology!
This is an exciting collaborative effort and opportunity for any Inkshares author!

Submit an essay, poem or short story and get into this anthology! Click Here for details.

I’ve already proven the ability to get a Hardcover Inkshares project Fully Funded myself and into a small but growing number of Barnes and Noble locations.

Once I cracked that First store, it becomes easier to get it into the next one. I’m doing this one store at a time but eventually plan to get enough attention to get more bulk distribution. You can follow this effort by clicking Here.

With the combined effort of over a dozen Inkshares authors promoting this anthology, it is virtually guaranteed to succeed in reaching the full funding level with 750+ pre-orders. I will NOT be satisfied with just a Quill level success!
