Calling all Fantasy/Sci-Fi Fans, Writers, and Free Thinkers! We are hosting a Round Table Discussion on Creating Modern Myths on September 1st!

So, I was talking with a few friends of mine on and we decided to create a round table discussion dedicated to the interactions between C.G. Jung (and other psychologists), Joseph Campbell (and other philosophers,) Hero's Journey (and other story models) and how it all impacts us, as writers, as we create our "Modern Myths" in the form of Epic Fantasy/Sci-Fi storytelling!

If it was not obvious, my friends and I are HUGE geeks... So, yeah...

Back on point: Starting Sept 1st I will begin a serial daily blog posting on the topic of "Creating the Modern Myth: A Hero’s Journey for the Technological Age" as the daily launchpad for our round table talks. We expect this first series to last approximately 30 days, however, we will also have guest postings on other interesting topics and host ongoing discussions so people can share ideas, ideologies, and passion!

We are looking for fans, writers, and free thinkers to chime in and share their perspectives and ideologies so we all can learn, grow, and have great discussions! To join us, please head over to our FB page "Creating Modern Myths" and hit us up with a like so you are alerted when we start things rolling!

See you there!

Y'all, it is exactly one week from publication (September 1st). That's one week until everyone has access to The Body of Chris, the freakin' project you made possible! You should be proud of what we've created. I'm indebted to all of you.

Since we are a week out, I want to make it as easy as possible for you to help. The initial buzz around the book has a great deal to do with the following:

      1. Rate/review The Body of Chris on Goodreads (click here). Goodreads is a huge, growing social media site for book sharing. You can login with an email, Facebook or Twitter account. You can choose how many stars, and if inclined, select the popup option to leave a review.
      2. Rate/review The Body of Chris on Amazon (click here). Amazon is the top book retailer, and reviews boost rankings, visibility, and readers' opinions. Last week, The Body of Chris was the #1 New Release in both the Bipolar and Eating Disorders genres, and I think we can do it again!
      3. Share on Social Media. I can't tell you how many people have been reaching out to me about the book because of your shares on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I've had people I don't even know contact me with encouragement because of social media. It has been awesome and inspiring!
Here are the best links to copy/paste to social media:
      1. http://www.amazon.com/Body-Chris-Obsession-Addiction-Madness/dp/1941758142/
      2. https://www.inkshares.com/projects/the-body-of-chris
I can't thank y'all enough. Inkshares is working hard to get the word out upon publication, and your help will assure that The Body of Chris gains traction in the coming days.
