Brian Fitzpatrick liked an update for Monkey Business

There it is folks. An actual physical copy of Monkey Business sitting on my actual physical counter top. 261 copies are somewhere in the clutches of UPS right now on their way back to Inkshares HQ where those hard working folks will open them up and ship them to all of you who were good enough to back this project.

I’m so happy and proud to be the first book published under the Quill Imprint of Inkshares, especially given the many and great looking books that are soon to follow. I don’t mean to overstate but it feels like an honor and I hope the book can live up.

You should have all received your ebook files. Whether you intend to enjoy Monkey Business on your favorite eReading device or wait until actual paper is in your hands, I just hope you do enjoy it. I hope it makes you laugh. I hope it makes you glad you invested some of your hard earned dollars. If you do enjoy it you could do one more thing for me that is of vital importance.

Please leave a review on Amazon by clicking here!

As many of my fellow authors have pointed out Amazon reviews are very important to gaining visibility and growing audience. And all that marketing stuff.

So please, please, please take a moment to leave a review. Please enjoy the book. Thank you for all of your support and I’ll keep you posted as I’m hoping to do a few interviews, giveaways and other promotional stuff in the future.

One last thing. I think the next Quill novel to be released is going to be Jason Pomerance’s Women Like Us. So please go check that book out. Jason is a hell of a nice guy and happens to be a pretty damn good writer!

That’s all for now. I’ll write you guys more later and ask for more favors.

- Landon

Brian Fitzpatrick liked an update for Space Tripping

Hello all you wonderful people who helped make my dream come true!

Seriously though, I can’t find the words to express how much I appreciate your support. "Thank you" just does not do justice to how grateful I am.

I figured it was time to drop you all a line to let you know where things stand. We are currently in the midst of the editing & design phase. I can’t say enough nice things about the folks over at Inkshares. They have been tremendous at every step of this process.

I’m working with their editing teams in order to spit-shine Space Tripping into the glorious pile of silly misadventure and immature humor that it is. They’ve also brought in a designer to create some gorgeous art for the final book cover. The editing/design phase should take us through the summer. After that, the Inkshares sales people take Space Tripping to market in the hopes of securing shelf space in as many bookstores as possible.

When it’s all said and done, you should expect to receive your copy of Space Tripping around the new year. I know this seems like a long time... trust me, no one wants this book to be out in the world asap more than me... but I have to hand it to the people at Inkshares. They do things the right way.

In the mean time, if you read the first chapter and you’re just dying to know how it is a drunken alien pilot crashed on Earth in the first place, you can click on the link below to read a short story prequel:

    Jopp’s Folly

Alright, that’s all for me tonight.

    Cheers

Drafters: Let us know if you’d like to receive a soft critique or a hard critique by messaging a member of the DLC cast or tweeting your project link @drinkshareslc with either the #critiquemekindly or #critiqueme hashtags. If you want your synopsis critiqued, include the hashtag #critiquemypage too.

Soft Critiques (#critiquemekindly): This is the default critique if the author has not specifically requested a hard critique. The tone should be supportive and curious. Point out things you like, comment on the broader story ideas, and ask questions.

Hard Critique (#critiqueme): Only give a hard critique if the author has specifically asked for one. This is where grammatical errors, typos, and oversights can be pointed out. It’s best to include elements of a soft critique too, but you can unleash your inner editor a bit more here.

*Synopsis Critique (#critiquemypage): Interested Drafters should create a thread in the Inkshares forum ( https://www.inkshares.com/forum_threads?topic=promo), linked to their book draft, titled “Synopsis Edits: [Book Title Goes Here].”

Throughout the week, fellow authors will browse these threads and offer help with editing and improving your project page synopsis so you’re better prepared to switch over to funding with a fantastic, compelling, error-free introduction to your book!

Not sure where to start? Check out these Drafts first!:
