I am very excited to present a new book cover for Mission 51! Here is how it happened:

Hi Gang! Thanks for all the interest, tweets, comments and general support. What a week this has been. I’ve been working on Drago Siege and Chapter 3 was really getting to be heavy going and I just couldn’t figure out why. I was scratching my head over it and I ran across some advice by another author that said (basically) when things get impossibly hard - you’ve probably taken a wrong turn somewhere and it is more than likely in regards to lack of foundation or research. Sure enough, once I thought about it I realized the characters had not been built out enough in my head - so they were all over the place. Plus, this is my first fantasy full novel, and worldbuilding is going to take some, well, BUILDING. So that’s what I have done. Been taking notes on who the characters are (in my mind) and what the rules are in the world they live in. And FYI - I don’t plan on doing any funding until late in the fall (when the 2nd draft is completed). Right now I just want to start getting feedback from people etc. Thanks for all your input and keep it coming!
Hey everyone! Thank you all once again for the support. The creative juices have been flowing today and so I was able to finish Chapter 1 (Amasarok) today! Yay! Please take a moment to read and let me know what you think! I really hope you enjoy a taste of Are You Sure You Want to Quit? has to offer.
A few people have been asking about the "Iodine Clock Reaction" phrase that I use early in Squids In as a way of describing the effect of the octopuses ink being released into the pool. It’s a mind blowing chemical reaction that instantly turns clear water to black. Check out this video that shows it occurring - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5tOEBmBAHg
Squids In has been getting a lot of attention and recommendations this weekend. The octopus thinks I’m doing such a good job that he’s decided to leave me to it and is off to play the PS3 for the rest of the day...
