Fernando Crôtte liked an update for Sync City

Greetings Jackolytes,

The copyedited manuscript of Sync City has landed! This is fantastic news as it brings Sync City one critical step closer. I now need to gird my loins, park my butt in front of a computer and take on the words of wisdom passed down by the editorial gurus at Girl Friday Productions. It should be a fascinating experience.

Also, for those that missed it, Jack has a new drinking buddy! Destiny Imperfect shrugged off some awesome late competition and clung onto third place in the recent Inkshares/Nerdist contest. This means Destiny will become a fully published reality. Many  Jackolytes have already hitched your carriage to the Destiny train, but if you haven’t, head over to here to check it out. We’d love to have you on board.

Have a good one!

Cheers,

Peter

      Wow!
I am honored to have "Wings of the Pirate" be one of the "Top 10 Semi-Finalists" for the Clive Cussler Adventure Writer’s Competition 2016. Take a look at the preview chapters, our filmed scene and order an ebook or hardcover copy at: https://www.inkshares.com/books/wings-of-the-pirate

We have another 76 orders to go before we hit the Quill goal so jump aboard for an old fashioned adventure with seaplanes, Air Pirates and a female archeologist caught in the middle!

Here is what they had to say:
      2016 Adventure Writers Competition Semi-finalists!...
Thanks to all who entered this years competition! We again had entries from all over the world, and received a diverse field of adventure types! Here are the ten semi-finalists in alphabetical order:

Blackbeard’s Lost Treasure by Caleb Wygal
      Bonds by Gordon Grant
      Hunting Savage by Dave Edlund
Maseah Mountain by John Thomas Everett
Rouge Fortress by John R. Monteith
Skeletons of Weavers Needle by Ken Barnett
      Steel’s Gold by Nick Auclair
The Java Gold - Book One: The Odyssey by Robert A Kingsley
The Truth in the Triangle by Michael Telesca

Wings of the Pirate by Eric H. Heisner

Our finalists will be announced approximately September 4, 2016. "Again, only a single point divided the tenth spot from the four-way tie for eleventh," said Peter Greene, the competition director. "It literally came down to the last judge’s submissions to get a top ten." 2016 was the largest entry field of fifty-eight qualifying entries out over almost seventy total entries.

If you read this far, please click that green preorder button and join the crew that makes this book happen and puts it on shelves in stores worldwide.
      I’d really appreciate your support!
      Sincerely,
      Eric H. Heisner

      Note from the author:

On this historic date 47 years ago, Mat the alien chose to make his escape from captivity, holding the late JFK to his word. He adopted this day as his Earth birthday.

Fernando Crôtte sent an update for Mission 51

18 days of funding left and we seem to be stalled at 162 pre-orders, which is not really close to the 250 required for publication by Inkshares. But I am not going to worry too much about that. My plan is to keep refining the Mission 51 manuscript, which I think is already a riot (of course I would think that, it is my book, LOL) and just keeps getting better all the time! It will get published one way or another when the time is right, and maybe this is just not yet the right time.

So, the other part of Mission 51 refinement relates to the art. Chris Pyke just finished another piece, this one to go with the chapter "Roswell Revisited." Take a look. It is too spectacular for words. Absolutely awesome talent! :D

Fernando Crôtte liked an update for Cape’s Side Bay

          Hey Cape’s Side Bayers!

We have only 200 pre-orders left until we reach full-publication! I have to say I am grinning non-stop at this. Thank you all for your support of this book, it has been incredible. I can’t wait for you all to read it!

46 days remain in this campaign and I am exhausted, but it’s far from over and 200 orders is still a mountain to climb!

So please, if you have not yet pre-ordered your copy of Cape’s Side Bay you still have a chance to see your name in the back of the book! And if you have ordered, thank you so much and please continue to spread the word and share this book as much as possible (most of you have and I cannot thank you enough!).

Huge congrats to Joni Dee having And The Wolf Shall Dwell reach full-publishing!

          Until next time,

          James

Thank you everyone, for the fantastic support. I’ve just had the campaign extended to January 1st, in order to help bring in more preorders.

Progress is going great on the book. The latest chapter I’m working on introduces a lot more world-building as Jonathan finds himself thicker and thicker in the weeds of the case.

I’m going to put out another challenge to the subscribers out there: If we hit 75 readers, I’ll release Chapter 3 exclusively to people who have preordered. I look forward to sharing more of the book with you!

Fernando Crôtte liked an update for The Sleeping Man

              Good morning Dreamers,

We made it to San Diego... after some brief stops in Vegas and LA, but we’re finally here and I’m about to report in to my intermediary school and then I’ll be on a Destroyer sailing off to [REDACTED] to [REDACTED] some pirates! Also, my Masters classes will soon be drawing to a close and then I’ll have to submit my thesis, which, as it turns out, I cannot use The Sleeping Man anymore because it will be published. So, now I have to write another book for my thesis. #FirstWorldProblems

Also, I would like to announce the formation of The Reviewer’s Association Syndicate (Patent Pending)! This is not only to democratically select books for a block of pre-orders, but to have its members suggest books for review by the syndicate members, and by joining, the agreement is that its members will review the books put forward.

I chose to do this because I had a pre-order campaign fail, and by spending hours a day reviewing and reading books on Inkshares, I have now had that failed campaign succeed (and it’s not even over yet). I want to further this positive network and I want to do that by passing on the tools I used to succeed.

I can’t thank everyone enough for their support, and since we’re guaranteed to get a copy, why not pre-order if you haven’t, share if you have, and help raise money for a great cause.

              Sweet Dreams,

              Stephen

Fernando Crôtte liked an update for Tantalus Depths

Tantalus Depths has just received one of the biggest conceivable honors it could have been given on Inkshares.
I am indescribably honored to announce that Tantalus Depths has been selected as the July pick by the Break the Bechdel with Strong Female Characters Syndicate.

I’ve mentioned this before, but it bears mentioning again now: one of the primary reasons why Tantalus Depths was written in the first place was to create a story with a strong female lead. I wanted to do my part to break the gender imbalance in sci-fi media. I wanted to write a female lead that could inspire and impress male and female readers alike. I took great pains throughout the entire writing process to make Mary Ketch feel like a real person, her experiences relatable and accessible.
To be honored by the Bechdel Syndicate is to be assured that I have, at least in part, realized my goal. Truthfully, this moment is almost as important to me as earning my full publication goal. If Tantalus Depths hadn’t been worthy of an honor like this, in my own eyes it wouldn’t be worthy of publication either.
With the support of the Bechdel Syndicate, Tantalus Depths is now ahead of schedule. We’re only 214 pre-orders away from our full publishing goal, and we will not settle for anything less than 100% success.
                To the Depths!

                  Hey all!

In my excitement about reaching Quill and following the aftermath of the contest I forgot to show the full painting since we reached 250! Here it is:

You’ll all be getting a copy of this painting (without all the lines of course).

Finally, I want to congratulate Kendra Namednil on reaching Quill with her fantastic project Borehole Bazaar: A Vow Unbroken !! Kendra has been one of my biggest cheerleaders during the contest and the first person I connected with on Inkshares so for that I am grateful. The Inkshares community has been so wonderful to me and I appreciate every single one of you :)

I will make sure to keep ya’ll updated on AYSYWTQ? as I go. Have a wonderful week!
