Carol D. Marsh liked an update for Trekonomics

Dear readers and supporters of Trekonomics,

Great news!

As you may have noticed, your copies of the book are shipping out this week! Don’t forget to confirm your address.

If you are among those backers outside of North America, your package will take a little longer. But it will get to your door eventually.

For supporters and friends of Trekonomics on the West Coast, save the following dates:

  • In Los Angeles: reading and signing at Skylights Books in Los Feliz (1818 N. Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027), Saturday June 4th 2016 at 5:00 PM. The one and only Chris Black (Mad Men, Star Trek: Enterprise, The Outcast etc...) will introduce the book.

  • In the Bay Area: Prof. Brad DeLong has tentatively agreed to join us from Starfleet Academy (aka Berkeley) to discuss all things Trekonomics at Books Inc. Berkeley (1491 Shattuck Ave, Berkeley 94704) on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 7:00 PM.

I hope to see you there!

There will be more events announced shortly.

Live Long, and Prosper.

Manu

PS: the meantime, here is a picture of the book in its final, bookstore-ready form:

Carol D. Marsh sent an update for Nowhere Else I Want to Be

    Hello, Readers and Friends:

Here is an update about Nowhere Else I Want to Be: A Memoir, coming out in November 2016.

COVER: we have chosen the final cover design. I’m excited about how it looks, and will show it to you in a (near) future update. In the meanwhile, special thanks to Emily Davis McCollum, whose painting of Miriam’s House is featured.

MANUSCRIPT: I am now reviewing the second copy-edit and trying not to let myself realize that when I send it back, the book will be beyond the reach of my obsessive re-readings for making changes and finding mistakes. Gulp.

MARKETING: Inkshares has the book in the fall catalog soon to be promoted by sales staff to bookstores around the country.

PRE-ORDERS: I have not been seeking pre-orders since hitting 750, but will rev up my efforts once the cover is finalized.

IF YOU WANT TO PROMOTE NOWHERE ELSE I WANT TO BE:

      1. Post this update to Facebook with a comment recommending it to particular friends.

      2. Email the link to my author page (below) to friends, family, colleagues and people who are interested in social justice, AIDS, and women’s and race issues.

      3. Tell your favorite bookstores about it: they can order it wholesale through Ingram IPS or the Inkshares Fall List.

      3. Order extra copies and get a head start on your Christmas 2016 shopping.

    Thanks, everyone, and Happy Spring!

    Carol

We will be announcing a series of events shortly!

      In the meantime, as usual,
