Hi All, the final list is complete–and it’s longer than the 25 we initially thought.  We’re going to hold off on announcing it until tomorrow morning, so we can send the invites simultaneously.

Let’s reload for 10 am California time.

Cheers,
Adam.

I believe it’s only open to Quill books that are still funding (The Last Faoii, for example), not ones that are in production with an altered price. I think a "top 25 list of under appreciated books" is a great idea but like @Evan Graham I’m not sure how putting a draft up against a book with 250+ orders is fair - assuming a straight "most readers wins" contest. I suppose that’s where the three mystery judge picks come into play?

I was hoping to have a little short story from an adventure that is not in the book written up, but I’ve been battling some serious fatigue this week. Hopefully sometime this weekend I can get to that!

On another note, The Living God still has 77 days left to campaign and part of me really wants to shoot for that 750 goal. The other part of me realizes how impossible that seems. If The Living God could reach 750 pre-orders it would go on to mass publishing and be sold in bookstores around the world. But, I’m a practical woman. It has taken a lot of effort to get this close to the 250 goal and I’ve pretty much tapped out my willing network. Even if the book did not reach 750, it would still go into light publication. When I started this I had no intention of attempting the 750. To be honest, I was doubtful that I could reach the 250. I’m an introvert and I’ve always harbored huge anxiety over money and asking people for it. I entered Inkshares for the contest. But, I knew the likelihood of winning so I also aimed for that 250 mark. Light publishing was always my main objective at heart. I welcome any feedback or advice for those who have shot for that 750 mark, even if you missed.

The Catcher is knocking at your doors!

The official publication day is tomorrow, but many of you received today your copy of The Catcher’s Trap!  Those of you who have not receive your book yet will get it this week.

I truly hope that you enjoy the book. The Catcher’s Trap is a dark tale of struggle and inner strength. I believe that beyond the supernatural aspects we can all relate to the journey these characters experience.

Some critics are loving it, some critics not so much, but they all agree on one thing, The Catcher’s Trap is entertaining and a fast pace quick read. Please add your voice to those critics. Once you are finished reading the book, leave an honest review on Amazon, Goodreads and Barnes and Noble.

Reviews are key to the success of the book. (my husband Tom, checking out a great book)

I want to leave you with a fun story. I spent this past weekend in New York and, of course, I had to stop by at Union Square’s Barnes and Noble. Guess what I found on the third floor, in a display called “New Sci-Fi,” of course The Catcher’s Trap.

It was so surreal and so empowering. Just seeing my book on the shelves of one of the biggest bookstores in New York made every single sacrifice and struggle to publish this book worth it.

And for that, I thank you.

          Have a fantastic week!
