James Rasile liked an update for Wings of the Crallow

Welcome To The Company! This is my first reader update!

13 Followers. 13 crallow birds. I think makes a company. A Company of Crallow birds.

In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve added 3 Chapters to my draft page, some in depth details about my story, and even a brand new spiffy cover!

I’m participating in DRAFTSHARES next week! May 30th - June 3rd.  Be sure to check the page then and comment, recommend, and write up some positive reviews. Post them on Inkshares, Facebook, and Twitter. Feel free to critique hard (not too hard), seeing as I desire perfection.

Let’s grow the Company and ride the DRAFTSHARES publicity train straight into funding! More details to come!  It’s about to get real!

James Rasile liked an update for The Madness of Mr. Butler

It has been quite some time since a little update on here...but, there’s children (plural) at my home now, and they both expect me to take care of them. Good thing they’re absolutely adorable...

I love being a dad. Life is good. All is well.

    Here are the updates:

The Madness of Mr. Butler: I told the Inkshares team that I will be turning in the manuscript in late August/early September. Then, we can get started with all of the editing/design, etc. Sadly, this means your books will not get to you until early next year. BUT! It’s going to be a great read. I’ve changed a ton for the better, and once my new chapters get out to my beta readers and they stab them repeatedly and I suture them back up anew, I will start posting new chapters. I will update more often.

It was not an easy decision to rewrite so much, but I’m interested in getting you all my best work, not my quickest. Thank you for your patience.

An Adventure With Dada: It’s reached 81 preorders! I couldn’t be happier! And I’m very proud of this novel. It still needs edited and polished, but the story is all written and complete.

...And I plan on doing what no other book has done on here (that I’ve noticed). Once I reach 100 preorders I WILL PUT THE ENTIRE FIRST DRAFT UP. If you like comedic novels, I think you’ll like this one. It’s weird, it’s dark, but it’s also oddly heartwarming (?) in places. I’m confident enough to put the entire thing up to read. But only after 100 is reached. And then I will take it down a week later, unless 125 preorders are reached, then back up for a week...and so on.

Plus, I made a friend in Argentina who is collaborating with me on a video for the book to put up on the page. I’ll let you know when that happens.

That’s all for now, as it’s too much!

I wish everyone the best, and I look forward to seeing what happens in this new contest!

    All my love,

    -Michael/Dada

James Rasile liked an update for Mission 51

Wow!! Mission 51 just keeps getting better and better!!

I am thrilled to announce another artistic collaboration!

Chris Pyke is a fabulous artist from the UK, who has agreed to render his superb line art for Mission 51. His study of the written material is meticulous. His choice of moment, framing, angle of presentation, and especially the integrity with the story, are simply amazing!

The first piece from Chris is a moment from the chapter called The Crash. Here is the image and an excerpt:

      From The Crash:

Finally they reached the top of a ridge, very close to their destination. Through the binoculars they could see a depression at the top of the next ridge, where the last of the dust continued to fall. There were large rocks to the west of the depression, obviously part of the shattered mountain top. But whatever caused it did not stop there. From their vantage point, they could see down into the lower lands of the valley further to the west. Juan pointed out to Juanito a long, dark streak in the land, heading northwest, in the direction of whatever it was they saw flash by overhead. In the far distance, they could see a rising tower of black, billowing smoke. They looked at each other, worried and wildly curious at the same time. Juanito pointed, “Vámos, Papi. Yá!”

      Awesome!!

Thank you, Chris Pyke, and welcome to the Mission 51 creative team!

You can find Chris at his DeviantArt site, and at his PykesWorld weebly site.

            Announcing the Mission 51 Raffle!

Artist Idan Carré has graciously donated an original sketch! This 11” x 12” sketch is a study of Mission 51’s spaceship, Janusia, as she will appear in the book. Isn’t she beautiful!? The winner of the raffle will receive this original sketch, signed by the artist, with a personal dedication to the winner of the raffle! How cool is that!?

To qualify for the raffle you must have placed one of the first 150 pre-orders.

The raffle will include the 96 pre-orders that have already been placed, and additional pre-orders up until the number of pre-orders reaches 150.

At that point, the names of every person placing those pre-orders will be officially randomized via Riffle Raffle to identify the raffle winner! Hooray!! :D

            • Each Inkshares E-Reader pre-order (ebook only) will count as one entry.
            • Each Inkshares Reader pre-order (book and ebook) will count as two entries.
            • Each Inkshares Super Reader pre-order (multiple books) will merit as many entries as the number of books ordered.

So… I suggest you place your pre-order now to qualify for the raffle! Be among the first 150 pre-orders!

And… you can increase your chances of winning the raffle by placing more pre-orders! :-)

A heartfelt Thank You to Idan Carré for her most generous donation. This truly is a special, one-of-a-kind piece!!
