True, most of the attainment of the capacity on some level to development of nuclear arms is attributed to espionage on some level, including some person with an altruistic outlook, giving one nations plans/ideas to another.

Mmmhmm, to the greater galactic community, Earth is quarantined, and perhaps a would-be smuggler, looking for a quick profit lets the FTL tech to leak to Earth...perhaps some microscopic entity which we deal with every day, some sort of living bacteria that does us good, is deadly to other species...

I am looking for a more exciting name for this book. At the moment, I think the title is abit too long...any suggestions?

        Greeting folks!

Thanks for the follow and I hope there will be more along the way.  This book as been a journey of many years and many tears, as well as many dreams.

I first came up with the idea while watching Tudors, an HBO show about the life and times of King Henry VIII of England.  I'm a big Tudor fan and came up with the idea of what if I could put Tudor England in space? What would that be like.

I'm also an Queen Elizabeth I fan and serves as the foundation for my heroine.

As a Star Wars fan, I thought I'd give a space opera feel rather than the science fiction of Asimov or Arthur C. Clarke.  While I wish I could write the technical stuff like they can, I'm no scientist.

So basically, this ideas is Star Wars meets Tudor England.

I like that they're trying to keep something from us angle.  It opens up a lot of room for conflict, both internal (between those who say we should listen to the aliens, and those who actively pursue to defy them..
