Luke Fellner commented on The Burned
Sorry for the late update. I hope everyone is doing great and feeling good. I’m still working on getting a bank account, last time I tried I couldn’t prove that I’m me so I’m going to try again. My book cover is still not reaching any progress but I’ll at least have a temporary one up some time. I haven’t had time to do it myself and everyone I’ve asked hasn’t done it. This book will be published if we all work together to make it work, ’tis the inkshares way!

Authors definitely need to stick together! I finished my first novel ever a few months back and I´ve been uploading it chapter by chapter for a while in this site. I was a bit skeptical, but now I´m throwing my arms open and going for it! I´ll be sure to check as many of your works as humanly possible and leave that feedback we all crave from time to time.

Well let’s see what happens Tuesday (nervously laughs). You know what will probably not rip our country apart? My book! The Burned, by Luke Fellner will surely not make you nervous about your personal safety. It might make you wonder about the safety of your favorite character, but I can promise it won’t bring any harm to you. And that’s something you can probably trust! (Disclaimer: I’m not responsible for anything. Seriously people, watch where you’re going when you read, stop hitting people over the head with books, and well paper cuts just happen.) Everything is dangerous, let’s all go into a bunker and sleep out the next four years!

Narratives live and die based on their characters. If the reader doesn’t care bout your protagonist and doesn’t find them compelling and/or relatable; if they don’t understand what the main character wants and why they want it they will lose interest.

Souls.  Owls eat souls.  Or maybe that is the bourbon talking.  Either way, order Manifesto: A Tale of Murder.

I hope you all had a good Halloween. What a great holiday, free candy and you get to scare people! This was my last year participating in trick or treating though, I feel it’ll get creepy to do it after 18. But who’s to say I can’t take my kids candy one day?  If any of you have questions or advice about The Burned please let me know. If you’re seeing this and haven’t read my samples, please do. We can get this published together! I’m still working on getting a bank account, it’s being significantly more difficult than it should be. I’d like some tips for finding a first bank account as well, so please DM me.

I used it for about a week. I’m not sure whether the data that I put in up front just wasn’t diverse/detailed enough for whatever algorithm is powering this, but I kept getting Twitter recommendations to RT the same guy over and over, and often tweets that were really out of date.

Finding your audience is more of an art than a science, I guess :)
