I agree with the comment that authors pitching aren’t going to scrutinize who they are pitching to. Only so many hours in a day...just blam out a bunch of pitches. That comment just shows how devalued the whole pitching process becomes for both authors and readers. If you are a reader why bother reading your pitches when 90% aren’t what you are interested in, spell your username wrong etc. Wouldn’t it be nicer to receive a personalized message from an author? Isn’t that an Inkshares goal, to connect readers with authors?
As for your tip - yup seems like a good way to go about it, but I point out it’s still quite time consuming to do that. I end up opening multiple tabs and faffing around with my pitch message (because I’m limited to a certain number of characters) and Readers usernames are different sizes. How much easier would it be if Inkshares fed Authors pitches into our dashboards? Hey I’ve got 15 leads today, custom pitch each one - more valuable for Authors, better pitches for Readers.
