GREAT NEWS!
Blood Dawn just jumped from being 1/10th of the way to its funding goal, to being almost 1/4. This happened all in a split-second!
That's right -- check out my project page. Inkshares lowered my funding goal so I now only need 1,000 pre-orders to reach my publication goal. With 6 months to go, and given how quickly momentum has grown just over the last 2 months (and let's not mention all the tricks I have up my sleeve to amp up my outreach more and more with each month to come), I'm very encouraged. This book is going to be real, published, in your hands, out there for epic fantasy fans to enjoy.
Please keep spreading the word. If you have followed this book recently, I'd appreciate your support right now. Head over to my Blood Dawn page (https://www.inkshares.com/projects/blood-dawn) and look at the three options for how you can back it.
Right now there are about 100 readers following Blood Dawn who have not ordered a copy. If every one of you became a Dragon backer (7 copies), we would be at 1,000. We'd be done, just like this -- as quickly as the funding goal dropped from 2,500 to 1,000. That's an amazing thought, even if it is ambitious.
If all of you became God-Kings (3 copies), we'd be more than 50% to the funding goal. Regardless, if each of you ordered a copy Blood Dawn would be so much further ahead.
And of course, regardless of what you choose to do, I am overwhelmed by all the interest this book is generating. While I continue to make this book as amazing as it can be, I'm encouraged by the growing reader community.
This is a great moment for Blood Dawn and what lies ahead!

Leah, you made order #300! I'm so excited!
This milestone snuck up on me, I gotta say. Leah is going to help me organize my social media presence and, er, life. She is brilliant and amazing.Thank you, Leah!
To celebrate, why not do a giveaway?
The next 10 readers (you don't have to be new - you can order another copy) will receive a 5x7 postcard print of this illustration I did when I was bored one time:

Busy, Busy Alien!
Wow. I don't even know what all to say other than thank you all so much and I'm blown away by this entire experience.
The Nerdist Collection Contest wrapped up, and Welcome To Deadland finished out in first place, met the pre-order goal, AND was selected by The Nerdist for their collection! When I found out my jaw dropped and I was overcome with shock and excitement. I never would have reached these amazing goals and opportunities if it hadn't been for each and every single one of my readers. Family, friends (both old and new), fellow authors, and everyone that showed me and Welcome To Deadland support, this is all because of you!
The journey to bring the book to your hands is far from over, I'm both nervous and excited to see what the future holds and I can't wait until each of you are able to hold and read a copy for yourself.
Thank you to InkShares and thank you Nerdist, without all of you this opportunity wouldn't have presented itself to all of us.
One day soon you will all be graciously welcomed through the gates of Deadland.

Quick update…yes, the contest is over. No we didn’t win. Actually, I’m not even sure where we placed cause they pulled everything but the top 5 down…but with 30 minutes left in the contest we were at 16. That’s out of more than 355 entries…which is insane.
We’re now off to option 2…we need at least 750 books pre-ordered to get the ebook published (1,000 to do a physical book). So keep at it! Thank you all for your amazing support…this has been an incredible ride so far!

Fellow author and growing friend, Steve Soldwedel has put me to shame, so I'm going to follow his lead.
In the last hour of the contest, or any time before their 1,000 pre-order deadlines, if you have extra credits lying around or you just want to support good writing, let me recommend my favorites:
