T.A. Carney commented on The Middle Fate
I am very pleased with how The Middle Fate is developing! I have some surprise villains, a wonderful arc for my main characters, and it just sort of... happened. It must be Fate!

This story was inspired years ago by a rather mysterious comment about the Fates made by a one-time acquaintance, and I haven’t been able to stop imagining this story around it. In fact, don’t you think each of the Fate Sisters should have their own book? If there is any interest, I would love to continue their stories in a trilogy, which of course would start with The Middle Fate, because where else should one start but the middle?

After a great loss, an informal feeling stings—

And ‘Should I be here at all’?

    The Feet, restless, get lost

    Down a dark way

Of Frost, or mud, or What—

    Madness repressed,

An inky resentment like a spot—

This is the hour of Drink—
