Hey Everyone!
The 2020 All Genre Manuscript Contest is coming into it’s last week and Beyond the Masquerade has made a good showing. Right now, it is holding at 8th place but I think we can do better. Let’s come together and help Beyond the Masquerade end the contest with a splash.
There are many ways to help Beyond the Masquerade gain momentum, and the majority of them are completely free.
Follow: Following the Beyond the Masquerade campaign will give it more stock and will keep you informed of the campaigns progression.
Share: Tell you friends and family to get on board with the campaign to help it gain momentum. You can share it among the community on the Inkshares website or through social media.
Read, Comment, or Recommend: The first three chapters of Beyond the Masquerade for free to read on the campaign page. Give them a look through and tell me what you think through comments or recommendations. This will let others know that follows are giving the campaign some attention.
Nominate: Inkshares has recently added a Nominate function onto the book campaign pages. This enables you to send a clear message to the people with Inkshares on why you want to see this work published.
Pre-Order: The campaign for Beyond the Masquerade has to get at least 750 pre-orders in order for it to be published through this platform. So, if you love the epic adventure of Beyond the Code and want more action packed adventures with Luna and the other Knights, pre-order a copy today.
And remember, with every one of these you do, you will be entered into the Beyond the Masquerade 3 Tiered Raffle contest to win a tote bag, a coffee mug, or a cozy blanket.
Also, if you want a completely non-committal peek into the world of the Knights and The Order, the digital version or Beyond the Code is available on Amazon for FREE!
So let’s make one more push in the last days of the contest to bring more eyes on the campaign.
Thank you.

Good morning! It’s a beautiful, crisp and sunny Saturday in my neck of the woods, but do I ever itch for spring. I hope you are keeping well, as the light at the end of this big dark COVID tunnel creeps ever-so-slowly closer.
Why is Homer topping this update? Because this contest into which I have entered The Crucible Tree ends one week from today.
Thank you again for lending your support. I am so grateful for anything and everything that you have so kindly chosen to do. If there is something you still meant to do and haven’t yet, now is definitely the time.
Here again is an overview of what can boost The Crucible Tree up the contest standings:
· Recruit a friend or family member to also Follow the project and consider the other actions below …
· Spend some time reading my sample chapters (the contest algorithm tracks that page time) and if you wish, post a Review/Recommendation (please be kind -- these are still early drafts :)
· Take advantage of the new Nominate feature
Stay safe and keep reading!
Cheers
Leo

Greetings, adventurers!
It’s been awhile! I hope you’re all doing well despite the circumstances!
The last time I updated, I did have some news—however, that news was vague. As such, I still have nothing for you as the pandemic has strongly impacted California—where the Inkshares headquarters is located. Because of that, all of their projects have been pushed back, including this one. I haven’t checked in recently but have gotten updates from authors with books ahead of mine, so naturally my assumption is that Mushroom & Anchovy has also been pushed back.
As always, there is free content to read on my blog, The Practical Escapist, and I have resumed a fairly stacked livestream schedule on Twitch. I also mentioned with our last update that I hope to be moving this newsletter to my website. I have not yet started it, so I would love it if you’d sign up!
Keeping up with content creation has been deeply challenging as I’ve also been homeschooling our first born. It’s been challenging but a lot of fun as well. I’m not sharing much about those experiences beyond the odd Instagram post—but we’ve been working on a seed library, learning about foraging and local plants, and, of course, a lot of reading and writing.
That’s all from me for now. I hope this letter finds you well.
May your travels be fraught with wonder and just enough peril to keep them interesting,
K. M. Cooper
Hello everyone!
The campaign for the sequel of Beyond the Code, Beyond the Masquerade, is chugging along but we are far from the goal. If you loved Beyond the Code and want to read more adventures with Luna and Ranger in the world of the Order, we need your support. Follow the link below to the Beyond the Masquerade campaign page.
Any support that can be given, From a simple following of the project, reading and commenting on the sample chapters, using Inkshares new Nominate function, or pre-ordering a copy would be greatly appreciated and would do soo much for keeping this campaign alive.
And remember, for every follow, share, recommendation, and pre-order, you will be entered into the 3 Tiered Raffle contest. Enter today for your chance to win some cool Beyond the Masquerade prizes.
So if you want to see a sequel to my first novel, Beyond the Code, follow the link below and help in anyway you can. This campaign goes nowhere without your support.

Howdy! And dare I say it, Happy New Year. I know, 2021 isn’t exactly off to a great start, but I remain committed to the belief that reason and common sense will eventually prevail.
Thank you again for following The Crucible Tree on Inkshares. The contest still has weeks to go and I am hoping I can call upon you to give me a little more push.
As I have said before, a great way to do that is to enlist someone else in your household to come and Follow The Crucible Tree, too. You can also post a Review of my sample chapters.
And new just this week, Inkshares has added a new Nominate feature. This gives you the option to submit a confidential nomination to Inkshares about why you think a book should be chosen for publication. As the author, I never see or even know that you submitted a nomination. It’s like a really short survey that only takes a few minutes.
By bringing attention to The Crucible Tree through this contest, we are bringing more attention to my first book, Bane of All Things, ahead of its launch next summer, to help it be a success. Consider it a virtuous circle.
Let me finish with these powerful words of inspiration from artist and author Neil Gaiman – a commencement speech he gave at Philadelphia’s University of the Arts.
Be well and keep reading!

Hello friends!
Earlier today you should have received an email with a link to download the ebook of WHEN FORCE MEETS FATE. For those who downloaded it already, that version of the ebook was a slightly older version and was missing a few things. We have now uploaded the latest version and you can use the same link to download it. You can also go to the Inkshares site directly, login to your account, and download it there. The difference between the two versions is relatively small, but I would encourage you to download the current version.
Many of you have also received your print copies, and I so hope you enjoy them. I put a lot into this book; it’s really incredible to see it in the hands of so many people. If you have any trouble downloading the ebook or getting your print copy, please reach out to me or Inkshares.
Thank you so much for reading my book!

To all my dear friends,
I have brief news regarding Curio Citizen. A few months ago, my developmental editor decided that my manuscript was ready to be sent to the CEO of Inkshares for his assessment and news on next steps. I spoke with him this week, and he is hoping to read it soon. Unfortunately, what has already been a slow process has slowed down even more due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Books that were supposed to be released in 2020 have been pushed to 2021, which means Curio Citizen will be delayed further. I hope that Inkshares and I can work together this year to make sure Curio is all set to go for a 2022 release, but I have no confirmation yet for whether that will be the case.
So, here’s the thing. As I mentioned in my last update, a different novel of mine, Lodestone, has been acquired by a separate publishing company and will be released this April 21, 2021. In addition, a second novel, The Hand-me-down Maiden, is now under contract with that same publisher and is slated for a 2022 release. I am beyond excited for these novels, but to be honest, I feel rather awkward that Lodestone will be released before Curio Citizen when you all so generously pre-ordered Curio over three years ago. There is also a distinct possibility that The Hand-me-down Maiden will also be published before Curio Citizen will be released.
I want to again assure you that Curio Citizen is still in production and will eventually be in your hands. I have been working very hard with Inkshares on and off for the past three years to ensure it will be its best self prior to release, and though the long waiting periods have been frustrating, I believe the novel will be worth it in the end.
In the next three months, I will seriously be ramping up marketing for Lodestone on all of my author social media accounts, especially since pre-orders have now opened in preparation for its April release. That being the case, I wanted to use this update to reassure you that Curio Citizen is still happening, despite the fact that it will likely be my third published novel by the time it is out in the world. I apologize for what I feel is an awkward situation, and I again want to thank you all with my utmost sincerity, truly from the bottom of my heart, for your support and patience during this process. I would not have made it this far in my career without your generosity.
If you are interested in following news regarding my other books and projects, I invite you to join my new email newsletter! I’m so excited to share my author-ly pursuits with you, and I promise I won’t flood your inbox! Sign up here!
Thank you again, everyone. I will update about Curio Citizen here as soon as I have more news. In the meantime, I wish you all the best health and happiness!
Sincerely,
Katherine
Hello Everyone,
So, there is a new feature on Inkshares.com that could give you a cost free method of letting the people at Inkshares know that you want this book in your hands.
On every books page, beside the Share button is a new and fancy Nominate button. This function helps you give Inkshares more information on why you think this book is special and how much you want it to become a reality.
It will bring up a small form asking questions like, how interesting is the story, how well written is the story, what other novels does it remind you of, and why you think it should be published.
So if you want to experience more adventures with Luna and the other Knights in the dangerous world of The Order, submit your nomination today! Thank you all soo much for your support.
