Matthew Isaac Sobin liked an update for An Unattractive Vampire

So hey, guys. How was your week?

Mine? Oh you know, it was...okay. I did some stuff. And then some other stuff. Oh and then this happened.

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1669756768?book_show_action=true&from_review_page=1

For those of you who did not immediately click on the link and then devolve into frantic happy dances (like I did...at work) here’s the context. Patrick Rothfuss...THE Patrick Rothfuss...best-selling author of the Kingkiller Chronicles READ MY BOOK! And...he liked it! EPIC SWOON!

In other great news this week, we hit our first Amazon milestone of 50 reviews!

What does this mean? It means that An Unattractive Vampire has reached the first Amazon algorithm tier. It might be featured in newsletters or start creepily showing up as a suggestion to people who also bought Interview with a Vampire or a My Little Pony. That sort of thing. Basically, more books in more hands.

So time to just rest on our laurels and do nothing, right?

WRONG!

There is another...larger goal. At 100 reviews, we activate the second Amazon tier where the book gets even more promotion and I assume some form of giant robot Avatar.

So keep reading! Keep reviewing! Keep telling your friends about this great book (or your enemies about this "great book" *snicker, snicker.*)

Also...thank you.

Wednesday night I headed over too Berkeley for the Trekonomics signing event. Had a great time listening to people talk Trek and got to meet the author himself. Very inspiring to meet a very successful Inkshares author. Even got my copy Signed!

Matthew Isaac Sobin liked an update for Tracing the Synapse

Another day, another chapter. Today I proudly present the continued story of Dr. Vincent and his research assistant, Edward Howell. Their experimental procedure, while a relative success, is nearing the end of its funding, and the pressure has started to affect them both. While Edward tries to look toward the future, Vincent is resistant to change and unable to do what his assistant views as necessary. So far, "Tracing the Synapse" has focused on Calvin and Amelia as they try to traverse the different worlds and restore the seal between Realm. However, if Calvin were to face a difficult challenge, it would certainly be noticeable by his doctor, right? What will Vincent do to ensure Calvin, his last chance to prove his procedure is perfected, wakes up? Keep checking back to see how it unfolds.

I vowed to write more than any other entry, and I plan to follow through. I entered this competition without any clue as to whether or not I would find an audience. Understandably, I am thrilled that so many of you would take an interest in "Tracing the Synapse" and wish for its success. Thank you to all those who have pre-ordered. To all my followers, please continue to read and provide any thoughts you have. I’ll update with another chapter soon.

        Hello Dreamers!

Well, will you look at that? Over 200!

We are so close to Quill I can’t believe we are just 48 orders away from publication and we’re just under three months left! Just like I mentioned in a previous update, I am releasing another chapter.

If that wasn’t all, and it already is plenty, Christopher Irvin, the author of Wrestletown is helping with cross promotion and will feature The Sleeping Man on his blog! If you haven’t checked out his work, you definitely should.

The artwork is still coming along for The Sleeping Man and we are above the projected line. I am thrilled beyond words. If you haven’t yet, please pre-order and get me to Quill, recommend, and share!

        Sweet Dreams,

        Stephen
