James Rasile liked an update for The Battle Within

Hi Everybody,

Just wanted to follow up my e-mail from last night by providing a quick status update on The Battle Within.

The manuscript is currently in the developmental edit stage with Girl Friday Productions, basically making sure there isn’t a gaping hole in the plot. Concurrently, a professional cover is being designed. When the developmental edit is done – around end-August – the manuscript will move into the copyediting stage, which is more of an ‘in-the-weeds’ edit for things like grammar, punctuation and spelling. This stage will last until almost the end of October, which should coincide with completion of the final cover design.

Around November-ish, the marketing plan will kick in as a long lead-up to the release date, which is tentatively set for April 2017.  November through January will see proofreading and interior designing of the book in both digital and physical formats, culminating with the book being ready for print around end-January. From there, the marketing moves into high gear until the book is actually released.

The team at Inkshares and Girl Friday Productions have been incredible and I’m not only eager to see what they can do, I’m excited at the opportunity to work with them. Although it seems like a long process, the time is necessary so these professionals can unlock the potential of the story and make this product the best it can possibly be. I’ll keep you posted on new developments.

Thanks for your support and patience,

 Alastair

      Update:

It’s been a little bit since the last update, things are still going well, Preorders and the expression of gratitude that I wish to disclose to the ones who have put some faith in me, enough to preorder a book it is truly amazing thank you.

If you have ever wondered what over a Million words looks like (this is outside of the first three books)

This was taken about two years ago, since then this pile has grown. This is roughly around 1 Million words, with another 400,000 in two separate books.
I hope this gives some kind of idea how long this has been worked on.

I will be doing another Lore Update tomorrow.
      In the meantime, take care.

James Rasile liked an update for Destiny Imperfect

        Greetings Destiny-followers,

Well now! Things are still very interesting at the top of the Inkshares/Nerdist contest leader board. Destiny Imperfect is at number two, ahead of number three by a solitary pre-order. Number four is very much in striking distance, and a swarm of butterflies seems to have lodged in my stomach! Friday is the day of reckoning, and when the judgement comes down, it’ll be seven shades of awesome if Destiny is to be counted among the top three.

Of course, to achieve this requires putting the ’crowd’ into crowdfunding. If you’ve already made the commitment to support Destiny (fabulous stuff and thanks!), grab your nearest and dearest and run them through the benefits of getting in early (reflected glory; I knew him when he was nothing; OK - I’ll do it- stop freaking bugging me!). If you are following Destiny but have yet to dive into the pre-order pool, come on in- the water’s fine! We’d love to see you here!

        Have a great day!

        Cheers,

        Peter
