So in the coming days I’m going to rearrange the page for Battle Flag: The Road To Hell. I’m going to re-do the sample chapters, with the latest polish I did a couple months back, and keep them more linear rather than jumping ahead like I did. I’m also going to try and put together a quick video explaining the book and my hopes and plans for the series, rather than relying on the The Battle Plan sample, however, The Battle Plan is currently the only readable sample up and I’m debating about keeping it.

If there’s any advice or anything you would like to see DM me or drop a comment on the page.

Well, obviously, Battle Flag failed and spectacularly too. I’m going to let it sit in draft for awhile and see if I can’t collect more followers. Meanwhile, I’ll be working on promoting my other finished book, The Agoge, while also working on the outline for book 2 & 3 in the Battle Flag series. I’ll keep posting updates here, now and then, on the progress for 2 & 3.

I’m also going to look into setting up a proper website with some sort of Wiki feature to start building the world and providing an encyclopedia of all the stuff in this world. Then when the series, hopefully, gets established there will be an easy reference for any other prospective authors to refer to when crafting their own stories in this world.

Thank you everybody for giving it a look and let’s keep our fingers crossed for next time!

Well one week left and if every one of my followers orders 10 copies we can hit Quill before the end! ;)

Okay, I’m being a smart ass, but I figured I might as well put out an update just so you know I didn’t die. :)

When\if this fails the front page is gonna get a redesign but I’m also working hard on an outline for Book 2 & 3. SO, just to give you something interesting to read, I had about half of the second book outlined and I came up with a good idea for splitting the next book into two.

Now book 2 will be a little more contained and personal and it will end in more of an Empire Strikes Back fashion. Book 3 may change up completely because, where it is now, it’s kind of derivative of the book Firefox and it’s sequel Firefox Down.

Anyway thanks to everyone who put out a recommendation or review and an even bigger thanks to everyone who placed an order. After a little planning I think I’ll take another crack at this thing in the new year.

Meanwhile why don’t you go check out my Young Adult book The Agoge and let me know what you think.

Well 2 weeks to go with 12 orders total.

Barring some downright miraculous surge in orders it looks like this book isn’t going to happen, at least not right now.

Am I going to ask for an extension? Probably not.

Am I going to give up? No.

If this fails I’m going to let it sit in draft phase for a bit and shift my focus over to my other book The Agoge. I’m also going to rearrange the Battle Flag project front page to be a little clearer on the overall goals for the series and I’ll rearrange the sample chapters too.

Here’s hoping for a miracle!

So I’m back from vacation and we’ve got 27 days left in the campaign. NOW IS THE TIME TO ORDER, or send someone over who will!

I’m forming this series not just for readers but for folks who enjoy the story and want to be a part of it without creating a lot of restrictions. The idea is that, if you like the series, you can write for it without needing an agent or even having to adhere to canon. I want this to be an open forum for new characters and adventures that is as varied and different as the people writing the books.

So 27 days left and I need all the help I can get, so please give it an order.

Tomorrow’s the halfway point for Battle Flag and the total orders sit at 7, as always thank you guys.

If there’s something about the book, or the page, that could use changing let me know.

I’m not sure what else I can do, or afford to do, to get the word out. If I had a million dollars I would make a bunch of TV ads and maybe rent several billboards along the freeway, but then again if that was the case I could just self-publish.

The polishing edit is done so my attention is going to switch to my other book The Agoge. I’m going to be working on that for a bit, I need to add a chapter and maybe a few other things, so updates here might be few and far between, but I’m still watching the order numbers closely even though they’re kind of going nowhere.
I’m doing what I can, on my end, to publicize this thing but with a handicapped sister to take care of and other writing projects on the docket there’s precious little time in the day to really push it into public view. So I would appreciate any help you folks can give me to draw people in. And if you don’t want to help that’s fine too, everybody’s busy with something right.

Two months to go as of today.

If you already ordered thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If you haven’t, now is as good a time as any, and if you it doesn’t interest you maybe you could send a recommendation out to somebody you might think would like it.

Anyway, on the news front, the final polish run on Battle Flag should be done this week so then it’s just a matter of getting the necessary orders for it to go straight off to Inkshares for the printing process.

If I can get it printed I can spin it into a series and if I can do that it will be EPIC in every sense of the word.

So I put my Young Adult project,  entitled The Agoge, into a draft phase, for those who wish to check it out.
I’m going to take it slow with this one and let it simmer a bit. But it is, like Battle Flag, basically done. After I finish up my polish on BF I’m going to add a few things to The Agoge.

Well 69 days left in the campaign and I’ve got all of 5 orders. Well 1 to my brother and my sister was gracious enough to order 3, and 1 to Eric H. Heisner ( thanks Eric!). Seriously, go check out his book Wings Of The Pirate the whole idea evokes memories of Crimson Skies for me I don’t know why, maybe it’s the air pirates.

Anyway, even though Battle Flag: The Road To Hell is "finished" I’m halfway through a final polish run to fix some spelling errors, that I saw in the sample chapters, and generally streamline and clarify a few things. Not much is being added nor deleted at this point I’m just working to get the flow right.

But that means if you have any complaints about my work now is the time to let me know. While I’m in the Battle Flag headspace and thinking about how to adjust anything that might be wrong. I’m not exactly the best critic of my work, it’s kind of like having a kid. I mean I could have the most misshapen, ugly, child in existence but she’ll always be the prettiest girl in the world to me.

Anyway that’s the latest for Battle Flag, I know it’s not much but there it is, and remember it’s never too early to order! And if you don’t want to order, that’s cool do what you like, maybe if you know someone who might like it you could steer them my way. After all I could use all the help I can get.

P.S.

In the next couple days I’m going to bring up a Young Adult project to draft stage so keep an eye out.
