Greetings Bards!

I wanted to check in and inform you all of the facebook live event I have planned for this evening. In order to explain to a large group of people dispersed across the country about Inkshares I have decided to host a Facebook Live Video going over the details.

Along with that brief explanation, I will be giving an overview of Man’s Damnation as well as a reading of a new excerpt, of which I am not nervous at all! Most of you here know how Inkshares works and thus don’t require the explanation, but you might want to watch to hear the reading of the new excerpt featuring one of, if not THE protagonist of the story, Samsara. If you wish to watch I will add the link to the Facebook Event here. Perhaps if you like the reading I will finally convince you to hit that pre-order button if you already haven’t.

Also, I wanted to give a big shout-out to those of you have ordered thus far! I have something special planned for the first thirty orders! To be revealed once we get there! So if you feel so moved, click Pre-Order and bring the land of Tír na nÓg to life with your own magic!

Trailer for The Art of Man’s Damnation -

https://www.inkshares.com/books/the-damnation-of-man-lore-of-the-aos-s-

Just a quick update to direct you all to the new look Pre-Order page. I have updated quite a lot over the last couple of days in hopes of cunningly luring you towards finally pressing that button to Pre-Order.

I have posted a video compilation of the art I have had produced, as well as the art and pieces that I have created for the project. In hopes of highlighting the love and care with which I have crafted this world and its story.

Stay Tuned for a video of a reading I am going to be doing, a new book trailer, as well as a boat load of Lore, Histories, and Character Showcases.

As always questions, reviews, and critiques are always welcome!

Cheers!

Greetings Bards, Maidens, Champions, Lords, and Ladies,

The time has finally come! I can say that I am as nervous as I am excited. I wanted to let you know that my book, Man’s Damnation, is finally taking pre-orders on Inkshares! Publishing this book is something I’ve been working towards for a while, and with your help, it can happen. Most of you receiving this message have already been following the draft’s progress and thus potentially know a good deal about the book already. I have spent countless hours building the world, conjuring the characters, and divining the path that they would take. ( I’ll admit the characters were in charge, not me. )

The Synopsis:

Mankind once lived in harmony with the creator, until Adam’s sin corrupted the world. That is what we are told. It is true, only Adam wasn’t a mere man and the creator wasn’t a God, but the Goddess, Mother of all Creation.

Geek and Sundry Contest

I have also entered the project into the Geek and Sundry Contest that Inkshares is currently running from August 1st to November 1st. That is the exact amount of time I have to convince you that what I have worked tirelessly to achieve is worth not only the dollars spent, but more importantly your time spent reading it!

I am currently putting together a strategy to promote and bring new readers in as well, including running a few contests myself. I will also be giving out insider looks into the world’s lore, history, and the backstories of the characters as the campaign progresses. People who pre-order will have access to new chapters, drafts, updates, and many will receive a signed copy of the book if they choose one of the packages that include a paperback copy.

Why should you invest in this project?

I realize that it is difficult to spend hard earned money on an unproven author, and I can’t even assure you that you will enjoy the novel, that would be hubris. What I can tell you is that if you haven’t fallen in love with the world I have so painstakingly created by the end of it, then I only have more work to do.

How will I sweeten the deal?

Well some of the original artwork created by Erik Stitt will be up for grabs throughout the campaign. You can see a lot of the artwork on the Facebook Page along with updates about lore, history, and culture on the Wikia Page. I will have tons of extra content from the world of Tír na nÓg, as I have not only spent over 10,000 hours researching but probably double that time in WorldBuilding. This will be more than just a book. It will be a world you can sink your teeth into! Basically lots of goodies!

Lastly, I want to engage with my Readers! Let me know what you think, what you like, what you hate, etc.

Here is what the Critics are saying about Man’s Damnation:

“I like your no nonsense style. Every word has its place and you don’t waste time painting pretty pictures of scenery or creating false drama. The story is straightforward, easy to follow, and sets up the adventure nicely. I’m hooked”. ~Bryn Hagan - Author of The Bully Book

“Always great to have a world rich with lore and myth come to life. The author has clearly thought about the creatures of his world and crafted them with care. I think the conflict between the world and the characters within it are compelling and help bring the narrative to life. Also, by having this bolstered by great imagery helps keep the pages turning.” ~Stephen Carignan - Author of The Sleeping Man

“A writer that clearly knows what he wants in his universe and lore is truly awe-inspiring. Whether it’s something as simple as a character’s past that oozes from in-between the lines or is blatantly explained, it’s simply beautiful.” ~ L.V. - Author of The Vatheran Prologue

I’d love your support!

Cheers

Greetings Bards, Champions, Maidens, Lords, and Ladies!

First off I wanted to say WE ARE THERE! We’ve come down to the last 5,000 words or so and I’ll have finished the first draft! Secondly and more exciting! The Geek and Sundry Contest is upon us and runs until November 1st!

This time around, they are featuring a Fantasy theme and that is great news for this project. As I have previously informed you I was looking to finish the draft of Man’s Damnation by August 1st and I am happy to report that I am virtually done with the draft! Of course, I am still tinkering with a few chapters towards the end and probably will be for awhile, but I am happy with where this journey took me and my characters.

Before I jump head first into the competition which is sure to be stacked with amazing works, I wanted to get your opinion as readers and followers of the project. IS Man’s Damnation a story you want to read? Is it something you can get behind and support? Your opinions as always are important to me as you are the people who have followed its progress thus far. So in the words of one of the greatest fantasy characters of all time!

I eagerly await your input!

Cheers!

Greetings fellow Authors and Readers alike!  I am starting up a group of authors from here and other circles to create a collection or catalog of our works. The Ultimate goal is to help promote our works, create collaboration, and most importantly use our networks as a combined tool for reaching more potential readers and getting our work out there. Check out the website Below! All are welcome to join up. So far I have about 25 writers who have joined the ranks!

Anyone interested?

Cheers!

Quick Update! I am at about 90k in words, and will be at about 120k by the 1st! So I am thinking it’s time to get excited! I’m going to finish this darn thing by hook or by crook!

Then once it is done, it is time to think about this campaign? Have you told anyone about this project yet? Have you followed and perhaps not read? Well, either way, it is time to start reaching out to those in your networks. Together we have a chance to get this book published, but most of all I need you all!

As for all the authors following this project, remember that I would love to reciprocate, reviews, recommendations, and could possibly use some beta readers if you are interested. Anyways back to the grind!

Cheers!

Just a quick update for you all! Things are progressing well. I have hit a good stride and we are over 80k! If this keeps up and I predict it will, I will hit that mark of 120k before August 1st! It’s just a tiny update but one that has me smiling!

Alright Readers, I have uploaded a new excerpt! This segment takes us deep inside the Greatwood Forest, the oldest and most magical forest in the realm of Tír na nÓg.  Here is where we will meet Nastas, one of only a thousand pureblood ancestors of mankind left after the wars of the first age.  Here is some artwork that reflects how I see Nastas.

I hope you enjoy the art as well as the excerpt I am sending you.  Please feel free to comment and give feedback on both!

Cheers!

Hey Hey! Quick Update for you loyal Readers! I have been hard at work on a surprise for you this afternoon! Iḿ going to release another excerpt and some artwork later this afternoon! So Stay Tuned! Can wait to get your feedback!

Greetings Bards, Maidens, Champions, Lords, and Ladies!

I just wanted to let you know I am alive! Gearing up for Camp NaNoWriMo this July, where I will be finishing The Damnation of Man by hook or by crook! Should be a task to reach my goal of 150k.  To keep you engaged I wanted to drop a little surprise into your inbox. This is the Druidic Wheel! Not only does this give you an idea of when the stories in the Lore of the Aos Sí Series take place but it gives you an insight into the way the characters perceive time.

The Outer Wheels describe the passage of years and ages.

The Inner Wheels describe the passage of months, festivals, and the seasons.

You can see with The Fall of Man in 3,102BCE is where The Damnation of Man will take place. Here is a big hint towards the end of the book we may or may not experience the Great Deluge experienced by cultures throughout the world. Noah, Gilgamesh, The Hindu Puranas, even ancient Chinese manuscripts highlight a massive flood that occurred during this time. What will the sins of man bring upon the world?

I guess you will just have to find out when The Damnation of Man goes to Pre-Orders on August 1st!

Cheers!

Christopher Lee
