Going to take a break from talking about my book in order to congratulate the top 5 in the Nerdist contest.  If you haven't checked out any/all of these books already, then I've went ahead and embedded the links in the titles, so click away and enjoy.

Zachary Tyler Linville("Welcome to Deadland"),  Brian Guthrie("Rise"),   Richard Heinz("The Seventh Age: Dawn"),  Andrew J. Ainsworth("These Old Bones"),  and Dave Barrett("It's All Fun and Games"), congratulations on great work at both writing and marketing.  Keep it up.

And the remainder of the top ten all deserve your and my praise and attention as well, links also embedded for ease of checking out.  Good job to Ricardo Henriquez("The Catcher's Trap"),  Scott T. Barsotti("Single Version"),  Robert Wren("Ophelia, Doll"),  Rachael Berkey("The Fable Hunt"),  and last in this listing but most certainly not least Jamison Stone("Rune of the Apprentice").

Again, if you haven't already taken the time to check out their books, then do yourself a favor and do so now.

That's all I've got for today, but more news of myself is somewhere on the horizon.

The final sections of Chapter 2 are now up.

I'm unfortunately going to have to keep this update short, since today is looking to be the busiest day of a busy week for me.

Thanks to everyone for reading, following, and most of all ordering.  Enjoy the last of the introduction to Buscidia.

The time has come for me to take the time to get rid of all the clutter.  I'm about to start taking down Chapters 3, 7, 10, and 11 so that the book will actually read in the correct order.  After that I'll return to trying to pitch for a while, and then finally post up more of Chapter 2 sometime before I go to sleep tomorrow morning.

That's all I've got this time, folks.  Thanks again.

First off, I'm happy to say that I finally have a real cover.  I've been feeling like a giddy school girl since receiving it late last night.  The cover art was done by Yicheng Liu who is also currently funding a wonderful book, "The Remains of Civilization", which you should check out if you haven't done so already.

Beyond that I'm considering breaking up chapter 2 into 3 parts instead of my customary 2 after looking back over it and remembering that it is perhaps my longest chapter.  Once I get the next part(s) of chapter 2 posted, I'll move on to chapter 3.

After that I'll post chapter 4 on the same schedule(Tuesday and Fridays) once I've hit 50 preorders, chapter 5 at 100 preorders, chapter 6 at 250, chapter 7 at 500, chapter 8 at 750, and if I can get to 1,000 preorders then I'll post up chapter 9, which is perhaps the most important chapter for Pentaz' first story arc.

I'm going to focus on pitching, and also try to catch up on reading some of the other wonderful works on here today.  I'm going to try to recommend at least 1 book a day from now on.

As always, keep reading and thanks for your support.

Zaltruscans, dwarven slavers, and carnivorous horses, oh my!  Few too many syllables to make that one work in the original cadence, but oh well.  Suffice to say that matters go from bad to worse for Pentaz in these first parts of chapter 2.  Figured I'd go ahead and post it up before I finally went to sleep.

As always, thank you for reading, following and preordering.  Enjoy yourselves.

What started out as a simple weekend trip turned out to be a bit more convoluted than such thanks to a (now fixed) bit of car issues.  While I was away from my computer I'd intended to use my phone to post updates and otherwise keep at work on the project, but phone charging issues also kept me unable to use it most of the time.

As a result I have not started posting chapter 2 yet, and also have not decluttered by taking down the later chapters yet.  I'll post up the first part of chapter 2 tomorrow, and all of the parts I've posted up from later in the book than chapter 2 will be taken down by Wednesday.  I'll also delay the next posting of content until Friday to match the delay, and think I will continue a Tuesday/Friday schedule from this point in as well.

I need to get to catching up on my pitches now, so I will leave it at that.  Thanks for the support everyone.

Hi Thomas! I look forward to reading your book and hope you will keep me on your email list, so I can be sure to get a copy even if you end up publishing via other means. I hope you'll check out my son Robert Wren's book, Ophelia, Doll, and pre-order a copy if it's something you like. It's a dark fantasy. I look forward to reading your book someday soon!

About to cycle the featured chapter again, this time to 11.  Tomorrow I'm going to try to get to the backlog of reading I've accumulated on here.  So many great sounding books to sample and perhaps preorder, so little time to actually read the samples provided.  Then Thursday I'll be posting up the remainder of chapter 1, leading into what I've now decided will be Saturday's cycling the featured chapter back to the first half of chapter 1 and Sunday's removal of all chapters after that so I can post these things up to actually read in the correct order.

Thanks to everyone, and while I may be slow in getting to following through on reading up on each recommendation & pitch I'm sent, rest assured that I am paying attention to them and fully intend to read what portions of each one are posted up.  I unfortunately will not be able to preorder every one of them that I want to, but I will do what little I can to spread the word about all of the good books I have seen in my short time here.

A bit earlier than usual, but my weekend has been a bit more hectic than usual.  As a result I'm feeling exhausted enough to where my usual sleeplessness will not be a factor which keeps me up until after sunrise, so since its technically Monday where I am I'll just go ahead and post up the first half of Chapter 1.

Its flow is undoubtedly different than what those of you have read the other chapters I've posted up are used to from me.  More heavy on the exposition and indulgent of my love of world-building, but both are there to show you just where Pentaz comes from and as such the root of his... social issues shall we say?

This first introduction to Pentaz is also to a much more awkward/less capable fellow, as he is but a sheltered young dwarven man of a mere 66 years of age(little more than a teenager by his people's standards).  The last half of Chapter 1 will be posted up on Thursday, and its shows the first of a series of events that force Pentaz to change for both better and worse.

Part 1 of Chapter 2 will be posted next Monday, with the remainder of that Chapter following on Thursday.  I'm looking forward to posting that up, because it is the initial introduction to Buscidia.  Anyway, I'll stop chattering on about things a week or more away and just send this thing out.

Again, thanks to everyone for your support, and hope you enjoy the story now that it'll be coming in the order intended.

First off I want to thank everyone who has preordered as well as everyone who's followed.  We're now down to 10 weeks left and have a long way to go to reach goal.  Regardless of whether or not that happens any and all support means the world to me, so again I say thank you.

Today I will be cycling the featured chapter again, this time to 10 part 2, in preparation for next weeks reset to slowly run through the first 6 chapters(and maybe a bit further).

Tomorrow I will continue what I started last week.  That being the taking of a mini-break from the stress of trying to market this thing, and instead returning to enjoying reading & sharing that enjoyment of others.  There's a lot of good material on here, and so everyone Sunday I'm going to be choosing a book to push in what little ways I can.  Still haven't decided which one will be this Sunday, because its so hard to pick just one.

Keep reading and writing everyone.
