A blog mention? Oh, and this is not just any blog; a ventriloquist would say...well, nothing actually, but his doll would say that it is the Inkshares blog. Here it is:

This will fill in the gaps a little of why this story is important for me and for others. Time is winding down, the clocks are growing tired, and their faces are turning white. The Nerdist/Inkshare collection still has 8 DAYS LEFT! Ha Hah; there is still a little time.

Throw a pre-order my way if you want this story to infect the minds of many. Review the book as well if you have a second or twelve . I would love to hear what you guys think thus far. Plus, the FB page:

Checkmate and Rummy my dear gladiators!

The Nerdist Collection's Contest seems to be hitting that barrier of hyper-drive and regular drive, and now gaining serious speed. We are in an intellectual horse race it would seem.  Where am I? Now I am back in the 15th spot with 125 readers. Top 5 are automatically published. My book is the odd man out; some have said reminiscent of  Cyberpunk with droplets of Philip K Dick, and you always should watch out for the odd ones. If you have not pulled over and really grabbed the wheel, then I urge you to step on the gas before it is too late. 11 days left to go. Septemebr 30th and this contest is over. Thank you so very much to all those who have taken the U-Turn with me thus far. This book is that much closer to being held in someone's hands or ogled by someone's eyes.

Chapter 4 is now featured on the main page. I think it displays a little more of the overall mood I am going for. Also, do not forget to Like! the Facebook page. Onward cool cats and feral dogs.

Alright, back again. I have sent you another chapter that delves more into the past as it introduces some very important characters: a group of adopted triplets and there guardians: the Perishes. U-turn is still holding on to 15th in the ranking, but there is still plenty of time to join the higher ranks and hang out with the big boys; a nice change from middle school days of looking for my history book in a trashcan. Please help out this story if you have not already, and be sure to throw in some of your highlighting skills, and pick out your favorite parts. Any love this novel can get will help it in ways we can not even predict. Enjoy everyone.

Wow, inkshares has updated the listing to include the top 15 spots and I am only three spots away from grappling onto that 15th rung. There is also now a Facebook Page for my book: https://www.facebook.com/uturnscifinovel Like! the page if you have not done so already, and be sure to recommend the book to anyone and everyone you can think of. If there are any passages you particular like on the Excerpt or other chapters, let Inkshares know. There are amazing writers and some spectacular novels out there, so I feel overwhelmed to be flying around with them. It is amazing. Let's see if we can get this thing really off the ground, and if you have not pre-ordered yet, then I encourage you to do so.

Well, well, well. Seems that we are approaching 80 Pre-orders and 60 Readers. Interesting developments and only until Sept 30th is the Nerdist Contest. Thank you all for your help. Today was a lot of the promotional side of the coin...which went well. You have to let people know about your book after all. Here is a bit of Chapter 11 for all of you new readers and to the ones who have been there a bit longer. Spread the word, share the posts. Also, leave reviews and highlight your favorite passages. All this helps. Thank you one and all. I leave you with:

Somewhere below, a firecracker was going off. I threw the craft into a steady hover. Small little bursts of fire were lighting up the immediate sky. What was going on down below would have made the Universal Fairs of Garx and Trilom look like a swap meet from the Corm University of Ulish. There was more. Firecrackers of Blue, Green, Red and...black, the duds. A couple meters away was Sulfice Drumholt, the King was always one for the grand entrance, and here he was again, all his faces alongside in his sidecar. Fifteen firecrackers on each side of his Macy's parade float were spinning, rigged fireworks pointed in 45 degree angles from their center wheel spokes.

“Your highness!" I swallowed my pride and addressed him proper. There was no reason for any reciprocity. We were the same, even if this mad bomber had no face to show his disgust, there was no reason to wear mine.

His royal highness looked up at me, plain, with no mask, just--a canvas empty--swirls of watered down colors. The King looked very odd without any of his masks. A look of weakness and helplessness. He was a lost soul, no eyes for someone to gaze into. He reached into his robes and removed the comedy mask and placed it upon where his face would have been. A quick lock, and with a gentle twist, the mask locked in.

Thank you everyone. I decided it was time that everyone get the chance to dive in officially and see what U-Turn has to offer in the elaborate sphere of writer talent in the Nerdist Contest. This is two stories competing, racing against one another in a way. The present and the future and one man is the link in between. For all those still reading, share and talk about this project. There is now a Facebook page (U-Turn at Next Synapse) up and rolling. Take a second to 'Like' and 'Share' this page and thank you again for all of this guys. It is really special, and I am just thrilled to be a part of it. Enjoy Chapter 1.

I made some flyers to help spread the word. First stop is my buddy's local comic book shop, a place he has learned to call home after stopping by every Wednesday since he was a young pup.

Here is something I just wrote. The time is (5:56 AM) Woops, starting to swerve...

The 6th Level was a fresh grave yard, the solemn tone dressed in three piece business suits and sporty dresses. The Mezger Automotive family was left rotting and spoiled. Bodies were contorted into obscure polygons, pieces of appendages in different corners, and one poor soul still holding his head in one of the handicap slots. They died with fear on their faces. It was disgusting. The terror in their eyes were worse than the scene itself. Some were floating between the cars, their hover belts left on, floating debris in a sea of War, Pestilence, Famine, and Death; the galloping echoing off the concrete walls.

My name as displayed on the book has changed. If you see C.P. Wyszynski, then you know those words came from me. Had some writing done today. Feel the itch right now: 3:30 AM, but I think sleep wins out tonight. Spread the word of my fractured mind, for we are almost a month away from The Nerdist Collection Deadline. Thank you all for your continued support. Goodnight.

The Nerdist Contest is at break neck speeds it would seem; we are currently looking at 37 pre-orders. Not too bad. There are still 80 days left to go for the Pre-order goal, and Sept 30th for the chance to be published by Nerdist Industries, and my fingers are briskly typing away as we speak. Tell people about this fledgling story, and let's see if we can break 50 before the weekend ends. I am doing my part as well, do not worry, but I can not do it alone. Thank you all who have already pre-ordered. It means so much to me, and I hope I will be able to share this book with you months from now.
