Greetings, everyone!

It has been quite the day here. 12"+ of snow, howling winds, and tomorrow will bring sub-zero temps. Once again, I am wondering if I would be content running a t-shirt hut in Aruba (while still writing, of course!).

But, I know you’ve been waiting for the raffle results now that "Devil" has hit the magic 250 orders. So without further ado, congrats to the following winners:

As for "Devil You Don’t", I haven’t heard from Inkshares yet about turning in the MS, but I’m sure like most of us, they’re getting refocused after the holiday. I’ll update you all again soon on what next steps are.

HELLO!

With 4.5 hours left in my funding window, I am THRILLED to update everyone and let you know: WE DID IT!

"The Devil You Don’t" has officially hit 250 pre-orders which is the threshold for Inkshares’ Quill imprint!

Thanks to all of you for your support -- not only did you pre-order copies but you shared my info, promoted it, and really helped get the word out. There are a lot of people I want to thank for going above and beyond but, honestly, I’m so tired right now, I know I’d forget someone and that would make me feel awful!

I’ll send another update after the holiday with next steps and other info, but for now, I wanted to share the good news.

Of course, Devil will still be available for orders throughout the production process, and I’ll continue to promote it but it is a great feeling to be able to talk about WHEN it will be published rather than IF it will be published.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday. As promised, here is a quick update... with only a few days left in my funding window, I am a mere 9 orders away from making my funding goal and qualifying for publishing under Inkshares’ Quill imprint.

Several of you have gone the extra mile and ordered a bonus copy, and I really appreciate it.

Please continue to spread word of The Devil You Don’t far and wide -- many of the orders that have come in during the past week or so have been from referrals! Personal recommendations do make a difference and they do matter!

Hello everyone!

Believe it or not, there are only 12 days left in my funding window for "The Devil You Don’t." Quite a few orders have come in since the last update, so a special thank you (and welcome) to the new readers who have joined our little posse.

Right now, Devil is right at 200 pre-orders... and I have verbal commitments for another 25, which should be in just after the holiday. That means I only need 25 more orders before 12/31/17, and I’ll hit the Quill goal.

And don’t forget: if I hit the goal, I’ll be doing another raffle for an Amazon card and some other swag.

Please consider ordering a copy if you have not already, and if you have... a) THANK YOU and b) if you have one or two friends who would be interested, please share my information. A personal recommendation goes a long way.

Hello Readers!

I hope those of you in the US had an excellent Thanksgiving holiday. We had a lovely time at our house, but now that the weekend is done, it is time to get back to business.

And for me, that business is getting those final orders in to qualify Devil You Don’t for Quill publishing.

Thanks to the support of several Inkshares syndicates over the course of my campaign, and a few verbal commitments that I’ve received recently, I just need to get 40 pre-orders between now and December 31, 2017.

We’ve come this far -- and I know we can get to the end, but like always (and I know I sound like the proverbial broken record--those of you closer to my age will understand that reference better), I can’t do it alone!

So, I"m asking for your help again...

If you have ordered a copy already, please share my information with someone you know who loves books and ask them to order a copy. Even better? Buy them one for the holidays.

If anyone is ordering a copy to give as a gift, I’m happy to make up a certificate for you to give in lieu of the book until it goes through production!

If you’ve been following my adventures with Devil, please consider grabbing a copy in the next few weeks!

Hi everyone, just a quick update before we hit the Thanksgiving holiday.

First, I am delighted to announce (and tremendously thankful) that "Devil You Don’t" was selected by Inkshares’ Staff Syndicate as their pick of the month for November!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH to all the members of that syndicate for their support. I truly appreciate your enthusiasm for this manuscript, and am really looking forward to getting it into your hands as an actual book.

What does this syndicate selection mean? Well, it means that between now and December 31, I still need to get about 60 copies pre-ordered (before the selection that number was much higher!). I’ve had a few verbal commitments that I’m excited about, but I can’t just kick back and put my feet up. After Thanksgiving, I’ll be announcing another giveaway and updating my "about" page on Inkshares to officially kick-off my homestretch efforts.

I’ll send another update when all that’s ready for prime time.

Wishing all of you who celebrate it a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving with your friends and families. Please know that you are all on my list of things and people that I am grateful for!

Hello, everyone.

Wanted to just give you all a quick update on what’s going on with "Devil You Don’t." After Launchpad wrapped up, I confess I paused my campaign. My brain needed a break, and you all probably needed a break from me. :-)

Right now, we are 84 copies away from "The Devil You Don’t" qualifying for Inkshares’ Quill publishing level.

I’ve asked for (and received) an extension on my funding window until the end of this year. So at midnight on December 31, the funding window will close. At that point, either I’ll be qualified for Quill--or, I won’t be and you’ll all receive a refund for your pre-ordered copies.

I’m going to start digging up more intrepid readers. Of course, I’d love to have everyone’s continued support so if you know anyone who might be interested, please share my page: https://www.inkshares.com/books/the-devil-you-don-t.

If you’ve ordered, consider ordering a second copy--anyone who orders a copy that they’re planning to give as a gift, please let me know once you’ve ordered. If you’d like, i’ll send you a certificate you can give while the book is in production!

Hello everyone! Took a few days off after Launchpad to chill out, have a nap, and let my brain regroup. Now that I have, I feel refreshed, refocused, and it is time for a new rallying cry:

250 or bust!

My funding window is still open, and now that I’m free of the constraints of the Launchpad Competition, it now becomes all about the copies ordered, not about the number of individual readers.

Thanks to all of you, 165 copies of "The Devil You Don’t" have already been ordered. That means I only need to get 85 more copies pre-ordered to make the level for Quill publishing. That’s really not that many at all.

There are a few ways I can get there...

First, I’m going to keep sharing information about "Devil" and introducing it to as many people as I can to gather more support.

Anyone who is currently "following" my adventure here and hasn’t had the chance to order a copy, it isn’t too late. Take a chance, live dangerously, dare I say it... make a deal with a devil (Mara would love to talk to you): https://www.inkshares.com/books/the-devil-you-don-t

Already a reader? You’ve already ordered a copy for yourself, right? How about a copy for a friend? As much as I hate to say this in October, the holiday season isn’t that far away. Good morning, everyone!

I wish I could be running through my office popping some champagne, but alas we came up about 20 readers short of getting into the Top Three.

I do want to say congratulations to Paul, Kate, and Meghan -- you all have what look like amazing stories, and I know all of your readers (including me) are eager to get them.

THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me and my story so far. Your support and well wishes mean the world to me, they really do.

But things are not over for "Devil" quite yet. I’m going to take a few days to be disappointed (’cause I am, I gotta be honest: when you want to be in the Top 3, fourth place kinda sucks :-) ) and recuperate. Doing this campaigning can be really mentally and emotionally draining.

However, my funding window is still open and there is no reason that "The Devil You Don’t" can’t hit the Quill funding level or better. So, after a pout and a nap, I will turn my attention to figuring out how to make that happen... because I really do believe "The Devil You Don’t" is a great story and I want to make sure you all get a chance to enjoy it.
