Hugging to the heavens
I stood there in the spring air
Waiting for the soldier to take aim
Looking into the distance I thought
Just thought that maybe I could see my life pass before my eyes
Seeing what I did in my lifetime, wondering
What would have happened if my baby and I were left to live in peace.
I realized that I would never see the future of our people in my child.
I hugged in sorrow
Never fully understanding the ways of this world.
BANG!
And light go out one by one from my eyes, never to be relight again.
