The tone of the work fits within the world it introduces the reader to. The Vanguard's Incursion is a lilting tale with wonderful imagery and fantastical elements which give depth to the characters. Lindell carefully guides the reader through the rules of the world so they are better able to enjoy the story. I look forward to reading more.
