As someone who loves retellings of classic mythology this is definitely one I will be following!! A creative up-and-comer!!

With a lilting tone, The Soft Fall feels like a mythical tale. More than mere description, the writing sets an emotional tone for the piece to the point where I can almost feel its weight. Perhaps the strongest aspect is how the tension builds over the paragraphs and imagery. On top of that, from the very start one feels for Dianna and wants to know what happens next. I look forward to reading more.

If feminist werewolf epic wasn't enough to hook you, then Byfield's intense writing, flavored with some truly excellent lines of dialogue, should do the trick.
