The Lights in the Sky instantly ropes you in from the point of view of the protagonist and the author uses the characters voice to great effect. Aside from expertly using the first person narrator, this tale also incorporates great use of environment and imagery to paint a clear picture of the world of the book. I look forward to reading more.

This story is just TOO good! The way it's written, the author as narrator, is done to perfection! I found myself relating to the narrator and laughing out loud at his dry humor, of which I love!

The Lights In the Sky isn't explicitly horror, but it blends it flawlessly with science fiction. Welsh's writing connects you perfectly with his protagonist and his insane world.
