I've never--until now--met a mummy named Starbuck McLaw.. And there are squirrels. What's not to love?
Alan Tucker
The snark is strong with this one…I can't wait to read more about a mummy/zombie hero with a borrowed brain, told by a narrator with the attention span of a squirrel who just chugged a double mocha latte! Seriously, the pace and humor blister— and this is just the prologue people! Give me more!
A.C. Weston
A charming, witty story begins with a conversational preface about such things as shrouded figures named Steve, the necessity of squirrels, and, of course, how a mummy from Egypt made it to Wild West Jersey. The style and tone recall Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which offers a very promising start. I can't wait to read more.
Stephen Carignan
This is a promising start to an engaging character. Starbuck Mclaw is told from the narrator's perspective, which draws the reader in immediately with their lack of expert knowledge. What seems to be something the narrator doesn't know, because he assumes the mummy was brought to life with electricity (probably) only furthers the world we find ourselves in and it's a world we want to know more about!
Get ready for a literary ride like no other!
