A promising start. Having traveled to another country myself, I know first had what Matt is experiencing. Out of place and a stranger that doesn't fully comprehend what the locals are saying in their native tongue. I want to see more of this story!

With its vivid narration and compelling characters, The Absence of Starlight is engaging from the start. What appears to be a slice of life quickly reveals a deeper through line that will keep the pages turning. I look forward to reading more.
