It is quite admirable to have so much of the work online to read, and especially work as engaging as this. The unique use of magic combined with the post-apocalyptic world is interesting, and having an older female protagonist makes this a truly unique work. Combining the narrative with memories and flashbacks gives the world a three dimensional feel, as the reminders of what was sharpens the differences of what is. I look forward to reading more.

There are few authors in this world with the capability of forcing you bodily into a story and dragging you from the front cover all the way through to the last page. Michael is one of those authors. I spent 5 hours reading this entire story without even realizing that an hour had passed; he had me that captivated. As a mother, I empathized with Maggi, even as I cringed over the choices that she would make at times. Michael did an amazing job at having me believe that his characters were real. I did not once doubt Maggi's feelings for those around her, even while wanting to make her see how her actions demonstrated the exact opposite.I look forward to reading more of Michael's stories in the future.

Compelling and addictive. Seeking the Elephant is the journey of Maggi, a protagonist unlike any I'd previously seen. Her experience of the world around her, her heart, and her wisdom drew me in. I feel Iike I know Maggi and I still want to know her .

I have been a long time reader of the great classic fiction series. The opening of this book is as good as The Chronicles of Amber and The Sword Trilogy (just to name a few). Michael hooks you in to hold you. I cannot wait to add this one to my collecti

Very interesting story idea and good prose. I like the use of the first person. Not enough novels take advantage of this point of view. Keep writing, C.M., keep writing!

A concept worth pursuing
