As many of you have guessed, we didn’t reach our preorder goal. As per how things work on Inkshares, this means the book isn’t going to be published through them.
It’s got me thinking a lot about failure and defeat. I always kind of considered these words to be interchangeable. But on further reflection, they really aren’t, I don’t think. Defeat, admittedly, is final. But failure is something that can be changed. You can fail and try again.
So, I’m proud to say this is a failure, in a way. I’m not going to quit or admit defeat. I’ve learned so much through this experience and done a lot of things I’m proud of! The contests I’ve run, the photo shoot I was lucky enough to take, the art that came from this (that video, right?) and so much more. I will learn from this. I’m going to keep trying. And it’ll be a struggle. But I’m a failure, not a quitter.
So thanks to everyone who stuck with me. Go check out my website and follow my Facebook or Twitter for more updates on what’s going on. Maybe I’ll come back to Inkshares, but I’ll keep trying to get published. Keep a weather eye out and I’ll see you on the other side.

Hello Everyone! Thank you all for your continued support! We’re plugging right along! Just wanted to send out a message to say that you can follow me on Facebook and stay fully up to date on the progress. Like and follow the page and stay in the loop about the book, as well as future projects.
First and foremost, thank you all for your support. I don’t say it often enough, but each time I get a new order it fills me up with glee and I appreciate you all!
Sadly, we’re not doing too well in the race here over on Inkshares. We’re only about 16 readers into our base goal of 250. So, with that in mind, I’m asking you to recommend this book to all of your friends and family. To make it interesting, I’m gonna make this a challenge!
If we can make 100 readers by the end of the month (September 31), I’ll release the second chapter of the book online for everyone to read! If we can make 200, I’ll do that and switch the drawing of one free copy of the book to a reader to 2 copies! So you double your chances! And remember, the book only gets published if we get those numbers!
So, go out and recommend the book to your friends, your family, your coworkers, your roommate, your dog!
