From this short excerpt, I can see the characters clearly and the author does an excellent job of balancing description with action to move the story forward. Lazarus brings the reader into the home of the protagonist right off the bat and shows the emotional tone of her life. I look forward to reading more.

Well written, with a likeable narrator, distinct voice, and a great plot hook.

I love anything that involves trying to solve a murder, and the setup is deliciously reminiscent of Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) ... just updated with a lively, modern narrative voice that's a joy to read.

This looks like such an interesting book! I loved the sample chapters that are up, and the imagery is amazing! Can't wait to see how it turns out.
