From the very start, the reader is engaged in a fully realized world where we can see the laws of the land being played out before us. The characters are engaging and well-written, so when the names and places are mentioned, the reader is able to define them in context. Haven's Addiction is a great addition to the genre.

This reads as good as anything I've read in the genre, and as far as I'm aware seems quite original. The opening scene in the courtroom grips you right from the start, because straight away you want to know the answers to a whole series of questions.

The writing is great, the story addictive, the power play intriguing.
