Wow, you guys.  This is terrifying, in a good way.  I am super happy to see all the nice words and helpful feedback, please keep both coming.  This particular piece is more of a stand-alone novella, with two other similar length shorts or novellas comprising the entirety of the intro to my fantasy novel series.  I will for sure follow you all back and hopefully be able to read and comment on your stuff as well.  Thank you all for your time!
