Okay, Faoii! Listen up!
We’ve been a part of this contest for 19 days, and so far we’ve held our own. We’ve made it to the leader boards, and even though we’ve stumbled off that hill for the moment, we’ve held its base the entire time. Others have come and tried to muscle us out, but we have fought them off with our fantoii and battle cries. People are beginning to notice the faoii, and, by the blades they will remember our banner. They will know us when we take our place on that hill and hold it against all others. We just need 8 more readers to reclaim our spot. Actually, not even reclaim. 8 more readers will put us higher on that hill than we’ve been so far. 8 more battlecries and they will HEAR us.
We’re also up for nomination of the
Break the Bechdel with Strong Female Characters Syndicate
. It’s tied for the largest syndicate on inkshares, and (as far as I’m concerned) is one of the most honorable titles a novel can receive. Just being nominated again makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something worthwhile with this project.
So, if you’re like me and you’re tired of damsels locked in towers and bikini-clad bimbos taking up space in your novels (of whatever genre), that’s the syndicate to be part of. So far, every single book they’ve nominated has been a worthwhile read, and I am proud to add my voice to their choir every month.
The battle is still raging, Faoii. Grab your blade. I want you in this fight. I want you to get your signed copy and to say you were part of the army that made this happen.
