Those released from Aurora, however, had abandoned their homes to walk The Row. They embraced a life of sleeping in the alleys upon garbage pile beds, adopting flies and roaches as pets. Often they could be heard lamenting their solitude, weeping to brick wall ears that responded with graffiti poetry penned by urban scribes.
