It’s hard to write about writing. When someone tries, it always sounds a) vague b) like bullshit or c) "magical". But there is something almost like zoning out that happens. Hitting a rhythm. Putting yourself in a trance. And music helps me get there. Helps me slip into whatever world I’m writing.
