Exciting news, faoii! Listen up!

We’ve fought long and hard for this, faoii, but the day of our victory is coming closer! I’ve just received a missive from our commanders at Inkshares with a tentative schedule for the continued production of The Last Faoii. If all goes as planned, the book we’ve worked so hard to create should be in your hands by late August or early September. The day of publication. The day where all of this work-- all the blood and tears and terror-- becomes worth it. Keep those shields up for a bit longer, my warriors. We are almost there.

I know that many of you see this as the end of the war, but there is so, so much more on the horizon. We are but a handful of warriors who have rallied around this banner, and there is no doubt that we have become great. We made it to the top 5 in Inkshares’ largest contest to date. We are the #3 Best Selling Dark Fantasy on Inkshares-- and the book isn’t even out yet. We have shown what we can do, but I know that there are more soldiers out there who may yet turn to see the source of our constant, ever-unfaltering battle cries. We can’t simply rest on our laurels when the greatest battle is still to come-- the one where we’re finally adequately armed to recruit new warriors.

Soon, once you have read the entirety of our story and learned of the greatness that is the faoii Order, I will turn to you and ask for your reviews on Goodreads and Amazon. I will ask you how I can become a better writer and how I can improve as I surge forward into the continuation of the Faoii Codex (Book II is amazing so far, by the way). I will never stop working on spreading the word, and eventually the world will know us. Someday soon, I will need your battlecries again.

But for now we may rest soundly in the knowledge that we have succeeded in this first charge. The book is coming. Our story will be told. And the world will know that we are faoii.

Shields up. And Thank You.

    Orders, Faoii! Listen up!

Another warrior joined our army, today! Faoii-Claire is the 2nd new sword to join our ranks since the contest’s end, and I am honored to introduce her to the fight.

I am concerned at our stagnation, though, faoii. We charged into the Geek and Sundry Fantasy Contest with our battle cries piercing the air and our fantoii blazing with glory and determination. We didn’t make it to the top 3 in that contest, but we did not roll over silently and let it slip us by, either. We clawed our way to the leaderboards and  during those few months people knew us. They knew our army, our weapons, and our heart. They rode that crimson tide of battle and watched us storm the contest’s hill. We took a spot in the leaderboards after starting nearly a month late. We proved to everyone that we are warriors. That we do not fade quietly into the background. That we are willing to fight for this.

Now, people are beginning to forget us. The word faoii does not mean Warrior to those who hear it-- it’s only a jumbled mixture of too many vowels. We must remind them who we are. Re-ignite the flame that will have every vanilla human wondering what a faoii is, what we can do, and how they can be part of our army. The contest is lost, yes, but the war is not over. We need to remind people that we are here, and our story is coming.  That The Last Faoii will be a real thing. And when that day comes and this book is at last in print, we will charge into the world screaming our battle cries just as we did that first, wonderful day when we launched onto the Geek and Sundry field.

Every person that has read The Last Faoii in its entirety so far has asked about how it could be made into a movie. I have never heard of literary people wanting to see their favorite book make it to the big screen (because we’ve all seen how badly that can turn out). I wish I had a better answer, but all I know is that Inkshares works with UTA (the United Talent Agency-- one of the largest talent agencies in the world) to set up deals and exchange properties. I, of course, don’t have any idea on how to make that happen-- but the people at Inkshares do. However, why would they want to try to make connections for The Last Faoii when even our army has forgotten the cry? We need to remind them and everyone that The Last Faoii is coming. WE are coming. And our story will be heard.

Shields up, faoii. Remind the world who we are. A single post, tweet, picture, word, hell, send blade-blessed carrier pigeons if that’s what it takes-- but do not let the world forget us before we even have a chance to become real. Our fight does not end here.

    That’s all, faoii. Dismissed.

      All right, Faoii! Listen up!

Apparently communication broke down somewhere. I’ve been pacing these barracks impatiently for a few days now and finally contacted our Inkshares allies about why my soldiers haven’t gotten their weapons (read:refunds) yet. About 45 seconds later everyone got a message that their refund will be processed in 3 to 5 days. So we’re still waiting.

That hill is getting harder to take by the day, so when we are finally armed and ready, it’s going to take every single one of us to see the Faoii banner at it’s peak. We’re going to do it. We ARE going to take that hill in under 24 hours and make sure that every single person in this war remembers the day that the Faoii stepped onto the field. We will show them ALL that this project is worth it, and that we’re not giving up until its publication is a reality.

Don’t forget, faoii-- after we capture the hill we have to HOLD it. That’s a harder thing to do, but not impossible. Share, review, tweet, post, send blade-blasted carrier pigeons if that’s what it takes-- but prove to everyone you know that this is a fight worth joining, and that the people/world of The Last Faoii are worth saving.

The battle’s coming, Faoii. Shields up. I want to hear your battle cry.
