Lcds7lkv Stephen Harrison liked an update for Eudaimonia
Hey, hey!
Happy Summer!
I just got word that Eudaimonia has been scheduled for proofreading!
They expect to have the proofread manuscript back at the beginning of July! This will be small tweaks, mainly related to words and sentences. From there it will go back to our friend, the typesetter, to integrate the changes. Based on this timeline we are now anticipating a Fall release.
In the meantime, Inkshares gave me a tip sheet as homework. This is the information they’ll use to create a book page on retailer websites (like Amazon, B&N) in the upcoming weeks. That feels a little surreal. What, me? An author page for Amazon? Well, yes, actually. It is the next practical step. And the next step after that? *eek!* Putting together the bones of a promotion plan.
Ever forward,
Meghan Godwin

Lcds7lkv Stephen Harrison liked an update for Henderson House

    Dear Henderson House supporters,

As of this week, the Inkshares Team is reading my revised manuscript! I know it’s been a long wait since I resubmitted it at the end of January - trust me, I KNOW- but the good news is Henderson House is back in the active production cycle.

After this read-through, I will either receive another editorial letter and will need to make more developmental edits or the book will be ready to move to copy editing.

Once the book moves to copy editing, I might get a launch date!! Since we are already into May, my guess is the book will not launch until some point in early 2023.

In other news, I met with fellow Inkshares’ Author Jacqui Castle today in Asheville, NC. I reached out to her since I’m in the area doing research in Cherokee, NC for Sequoyah Road the sequel to Henderson House.

Jacqui was incredibly generous with her time and wisdom today. She has published two sci-fi novels with Inkshares, The Seclusion, and The Chasm. She was named the 2020 Indie Author of the year by the Indie Author Project. I really enjoyed the two-book series. Her books are available wherever you buy your books and someday, Henderson House will be too :)

Thanks again for all your support. We’re getting closer to holding the book in our hands.

    With gratitude,

    Caren Simpson McVicker

Lcds7lkv Stephen Harrison liked an update for WILD CONVICTION
A year ago today, I learned my novel WILD CONVICTION was a winner of the Inkshares 2020 All-Genre Manuscript Contest!

WILD CONVICTION is a winner thanks to you, Awesome Supporters, through your engagement with comments, reviews, nominations and pre-orders supporting this novel and my journey to publication of my first novel!!

So, where are we one year later on the publication and release of WILD CONVICTION?

I am currently writing some edits based on suggestions from publisher Inkshares that I received in mid-January 2022.

After these edits are read by the Inkshares editorial board, the next step should be the final polish edits, then onto the actual production for publishing!

When will you have the finished novel to read? I don’t know exactly, but my heart is hoping for less than a year from now.

In the meantime, I have posted the first 8 slightly-edited chapters on

      https://www.inkshares.com/books/wild-conviction

(Well, Chapter 3 isn’t posted, as it is the mysterious letter from GrandMama to Twilight. But remember, those who have pre-ordered or who still pre-order can received that “actual” letter with “magical” gifts tucked inside if you want it, so you receive Chapter 3 in that way.)

I also have a contest going on now based on these posted chapters to win gifts related to the novel.

Be sure to read my newsletter or subscribe to my newsletter if you don’t already receive it to find out more about the contests. You can subscribe at the bottom of any page of my website:

      https://www.marydezember.com/

I hope you enjoy reading those posted chapters!

And I hope that by reading them you continue to be intrigued to have this novel in your hands to discover the twists and turns of this story and its significance concerning our society past and present.

        Dear Henderson House readers,

Wow! A year ago today, Henderson House, won the Inkshares All-Genre Contest!

Thanks again to everyone who engaged with my project and helped me earn a publishing contract. What a difference a year makes:) The novel is so much better today than it was a year ago.

I’ve learned so much this past year about the writing process, the editing process, the publishing process, and my own personal process. I hope to have an update from the Inkshares team for you very soon.

Over the past few months, I have seen successful book launches for other authors I follow on Inkshares. I have walked into the Northshire Bookstore, my local independent bookstore in Vermont, and pulled these Inkshares titles on the shelf. I have seen Inkshares run promotions for these books on Goodreads. I have looked these books up on Amazon and Barnes and Nobel. This is real. This will happen.

Thank you again for your continued patience and support. In the meantime, I AM WRITING :)

With gratitude and prayers for peace in our world,

        Caren
