Heather Joanne Gilbert liked an update for Chasing Ghosts

My humblest apologies for being so stingy with the updates.  This story has developed a life of its own and just seems to broaden its scope every time I sit down with it.  You might find a few edits here and there in the update, but mostly I’m taking this opportunity to add another day to our narrator’s journal, taking us all the way to the end of May and the proper beginning of summer.  I’m somewhere in the middle of June with my work at the moment, and tensions are really beginning to mount.  I hope you enjoy the sample you find here, and that you will share what you find with your friends who will also enjoy what they find enough to share it with their other friends, and so forth and so on.  Help me build enough momentum to propel us to the end of this Inkshares contest on July 15th!  Thank you for your support (and preorders)!

It’s Judy Blume meets Ready Player One. It’s an intimate coming-of-age story. It’s a tragic portrait of post-Vietnam PTSD. And it’s all happening during the outbreak of the global contagion that would come to be known as... Pac-Man Fever.
