Erin Rasile liked an update for Cape’s Side Bay

THE BIG ONE

I received the final, completed, manuscript (digital) earlier today. The cover was finalized earlier this week. The last bit of info was just sent in by myself. And that. Is. It.

The book is now ready to go into production!

If you have moved (it’s been 7 years most of you have!). Don’t forget to change your shipping address by logging into Inkshares. I believe they email you a reminder, but just in case, please make sure you change your address.

I guess my next announcement will be something like "They’ve shipped"

Thanks for Noah Broyles at Inkshares who has been a big help over the last little while, and thank you to all of you for sticking around for 7 years!

James

      CAPE’S SIDE BAY COMING 2021
For everyone who has supported Cape’s Side Bay I would like to once again thank you! It has been a long time since this book began it’s Inkshares journey.

My goal was not to begin crowdfunding (selling) the book on the site until it was completely written. When the book was complete in 2014 I began my page on Inkshares, and began taking pre-orders.  I knew the book would go through several stages of editing even after hitting my goal, but I also knew I had a finished book and so there was no intent on anyone waiting long for their copy of Cape’s Side Bay.

It has been six years. Crazy to think. Inkshares has change a lot during these years, at one point the book would not be published properly by the site, then that changed in 2016 when they held a contest and Cape’s Side Bay finished first.

The book over the past two years has gone through several edits and revisions and I am very happy with where it stands. Maybe a few more changes (small) along the way, but I have recently spoken to Adam Gomolin the CEO of Inkshares, and I have been told Cape’s Side Bay will be published Spring/Summer 2021.

If you have not ordered yet you can do so right here: https://www.inkshares.com/books/cape-s-side-bay?referral_code=4cd2117e

I am sorry it has taken this long, and there is still some time. It is a process, I just sincerely hope you all enjoy the book when you finally have it in your hands!

      Thank you,
      James

Erin Rasile liked a chapter from Cape’s Side Bay

It was early September in the town of Hillsbury. Labor Day weekend, the final long weekend before school returned and the summer tourists departed for the year, was the busiest for the town. Hillsbury was cottage country; families would travel upwards of ten hours to stay in their wood cabins, or the luxurious campsites that had recently been upgraded to provide up to fifteen sites with electricity and new picnic tables to surround the pits used for campfires, for the summer months.

        It . . .

"Oh, it's only the prologue," I told myself like a fool, reading the prologue in the dark. Hillsbury was familiar; one of those small, summer towns that dwindles down to the locals after Labor Day. I know this town. I've been there before, both in genre fiction and in childhood. I'm pulled in deep, suffering the effects of nostalgia creep, and my heart begins to race. This is familiar, and I know I should turn the lights on. I know I shouldn't be reading this in the middle of the night, but here I am locked in to every word. The pace quickens, my eyes stare wide at the screen. Suspense fills my room as I continue reading forward. I need to know. I'm already sucked in, and I need more.

For years something has been lurking in Cape’s Side Bay. When the truth is revealed questions of mankind’s existence begin to be raised, and their worst fears are about to be realized.
