Hello! Quick update...
I just found out that Devil You Don’t has made the Launchpad 2017’s Top 50 List!
Great News! Under The Rug is in first place in the "Spring 2017 Launch Pad Manuscript Competition on Inkshares". We’re now at 191 Readers and 240 pre-sales.
This is the second competition with The Launch Pad, the first of which ran last fall, with exclusive partners Ridley Scott of Scott-Free Productions and Brooklyn Weaver of Energy Entertainment. Eight books were green-lit for publication, along with TV and film that followed.
I am in first place because of YOU. Thank you all so much. Let us not relent, for there is still much work to be done in order to maintain that #1 position.
I humbly ask that you please get one friend to pre-order a book today...if you haven’t already. Once again, I’m grateful for your support.
Thanks for reading!
Todd Wonkka
When do we get the book?
Thriller Fans, in two weeks, July 11th, I will be headed to NYC to attend ThrilerFest. This genre’ specific conference brings together the biggest names writing thriller novels for four days of inspiration,
education and celebration. I will take part in the Debut Authors Program. Check out the link for a Q&A spotlight about Tears of the Assassin on Book Trib. ThrillerFest Q&A
Drop me a reply if you’re in NYC, I’d love to meet more fans of Inkshares.
Also, today is your last chance to help Ferd Crotte in the Nerdist Contest. Mission 51 is an awesome book and he could use your help to get it published through this very tight contest. https://www.inkshares.com/books/mission-51
All the Best,

250 PRE-ORDERS!
Aloha All,
I’m very excited to announce my novel Lost in the Fog has received over 250 pre-orders (261 and counting) and will now be published by Inkshares! Thank you so much for your support, and I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am!
I’m also thrilled to report this is (hopefully) just the first step for Lost in the Fog. Inkshares is sponsoring their Launch Pad Contest, and I’m officially entered. It started April 1st and goes until November 4th, and the top three books on the basis of unique pre-orders will be automatic winners. For more on the contest, you can click here.
All Launch Pad winners will receive full marketing/promotion/editing, and their novels will be sold in brick-and-mortar bookstores! With the 250 pre-orders, I’m only guaranteed Lost in the Fog will be published and available to purchase online, but without any promotion and only basic copy editing. That is cool in itself and a huge accomplishment, and I’m super happy to have reached that goal.
But being a Launch Pad Contest winner would be a dream come true! Not only will Lost in the Fog get full publishing and promotion, there’s also top talent agencies (including UTA & Paradigm) and production companies (such as Village Road Show & 3 Arts Entertainment) involved in the contest. I’m currently in second place on the leaderboard out of 116 submissions. That’s very exciting, but there’s still a long way to go.
The goal now is for new readers to keep pre-ordering so I can cement Top 3!
You are all the absolute best, and thanks again from the bottom, top, and (gooey) center of my heart for your support! If you think any of your family or friends or work colleagues would enjoy Lost in the Fog, I would be very grateful if you shared the link with them via email or text:

With the first goal of 250 pre-orders complete, Top 3 in the Launch Pad Contest is in now in our sights! Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo!!
Here’s a picture of me on Maui (on my birthday this past weekend) celebrating 250 pre-orders. 😊
Greetings, adventurers!
The campaign has truly begun now. I’ve been reaching out to businesses, I’ve been passing out flyers and I’ve been working double time to get the word out about Mushroom and Anchovy. There’s even more to come this week, and I hope to have a big update on Friday!
We’re still holding down 5th place of the Launchpad contest! This is great news. The Nerdist Sci-Fi contest is finishing up this week, which will likely mean that more focus will be drawn to the Launchpad Contest after it’s over. This may mean other books jumping up in the leaderboards. 1st and 2nd place are pretty far off right now, with both surpassing 250 preorders, so if we want to get a guaranteed publish, we’ll have to see a real surge in numbers.
I’ve decided that Fridays are going to be “Lore Days”, in which I will introduce you to some aspect of the world of Mushroom and Anchovy. I’ll choose one part of the universe to describe to you—please let me know if there’s anything from the first three chapters that you want me to elaborate on!
That’s it for the first half of the week, folks. I hope to hear from some of you soon about Lore Day!
May all your adventures be fraught with wonder and just enough peril to keep them interesting,
K. M. Cooper
