Hey all!
In my excitement about reaching Quill and following the aftermath of the contest I forgot to show the full painting since we reached 250! Here it is:
You’ll all be getting a copy of this painting (without all the lines of course).
Finally, I want to congratulate Kendra Namednil on reaching Quill with her fantastic project Borehole Bazaar: A Vow Unbroken !! Kendra has been one of my biggest cheerleaders during the contest and the first person I connected with on Inkshares so for that I am grateful. The Inkshares community has been so wonderful to me and I appreciate every single one of you :)
I will make sure to keep ya’ll updated on AYSYWTQ? as I go. Have a wonderful week!
Good news. Out of hospital and my son is doing well, although with mono the next 6 weeks need to be taken really easy, and he can’t be biking, climbing, jumping round etc. As his summer fun is now strongly hindered, he has come to the conclusion that this is justification for an xbox one or playstation 4.
Hey! Happy Friday! Wasn’t going to post until the book was in your hands, but there may be a very short delay in the production schedule so just to let you know delivery date should be by August 1 latest on physical books. It will be earlier than that for those who ordered eBooks -- they should arrive on schedule for download. Stay tuned -- also because I’m working on a longer update where I thank profusely everybody involved in making Women Like Us a reality but I just don’t have that ready yet.
In the meantime, marketing efforts have kept me insanely busy. Looks like the book will be on shelves at Vroman’s Bookstore in Pasadena, Book Soup in West Hollywood, and Skylight Books in Los Feliz. Hoping to get some more stores on board. The book will also appear on the book shelf of the blog Chicklit Central, and I’ve done a guest blog post for Fiction Dreams. Here are links to both blogs.

It won’t show up on Chicklit Central until about November, but that’s no problem because the holidays are great for book buying. A third and possibly fourth guest blog post are in the works too, and there might even be more after that. Phew!!
That’s it for now. Sit tight -- books coming very soon. Of course once it’s out there, I’ll be asking everybody to go to the Amazon page for the book and leave a brief review and however many stars you feel you want to give (5 right?). The number of Amazon reviews is critical for boosting sales, but more on that later.
Hope you all every a terrific weekend, and Happy Reading!
Greetings wonderful people! Long time no update.

Hey everyone,
First off, let me just say THANK YOU to each and every one of you that have been following my project this whole time and/or pre-ordered a copy. I might not have won the contest, but I REACHED QUILL (yay!!!). I am going to be a published author and you’ll all get to read this story which is incredible to me!! I never imagined that this campaign would be as successful as it was and for that I am greatly humbled so thank you for making my dream come true.
I also want to say congratulations to the Inkvengers (Too Many Controllers), Prescott Harvey (In Beta), and Peter Ryan (Destiny Imperfect) for running excellent campaigns as well. If you haven’t yet go visit their page and pre-order a copy of their novels! Now that the contest is over I can relax and enjoy the other wonderful works on Inkshares.
Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going chill by the pool in this dreadful Texas heat. Until next time, cheers!!!!

Sorry I have not been able to do reviews as am staying in hospital with my oldest boy who has glandular fever. Hopefully back in the loop in a day or two.
Dear Machiners!
There are mere hours left in the Nerdist Video Games contest on Inkshares!! As many of you know, I have been competing in this contest with an amazing group of authors. We are now T-Minus 13 hours until the contest ends - and we’re aiming to finish strong and take first place!
Our book,Too Many Controllers is a collection of fifteen short stories across genres, time and realities connected by one theme: video games. We all love video games, or know someone who does, so it would be wonderful if you supported this excellent anthology. I can almost guarantee that there is something for everyone in this book!
And here’s the best part for all you machiners and fans of The Last Machine in the Solar System: my short story will feature Jonathan, the last machine, and his creator, Nikolai. This story will take place many billions of years earlier than the events of the novella, while Jonathan is still young, and Nikolai still lives.
Much more to come as the journey continues! Thanks again for your tremendous support!
Noxian Delight
One of the first characters we meet in the book- Eon- spent countless hours in the hidden library of the Nox. While he wasn’t researching the ancient sentries that spawned life throughout the galaxy, Eon spent what amounted to years of his life watching cooking shows (who doesn’t).
One of his favorite dishes, which was a smashing hit with the ancient Nox apparently, was a dish that can best be translated as ’Sea Mist Delight Pulls on Your Stomach’. The strange creature, called a Qumnualt, was found only in one sea on a planet on the outer systems. Similar to an octopus with a shell of a sea urchin, the recipe was to cook with drift wood gently over open flame for about 5 minutes. The resulting foaming dish contained several unknown molecules that, at least for the Nox, caused feelings of delight, awe, giddiness, and in rare cases resulted in uncontrollable happy dancing.

This beautiful dish is an actual creation of an actual person. If the Nox were going to have a dinner feast I’m convinced Betsy Hinze would be behind the ball. Check out her truly inspiring work (which I hope to feature more of in the book) at www.betsyhinze.com

Dear Friends
There are only 24 hours left to get a signed copy of Too Many Controllers, the anthology that I’m part of with another 14 talented authors.
As I have told you before, this anthology is participating in the current Nerdist contest. We are in first place, and we want to stay there, so I need you to order a copy right now.
Too Many Controllers is a collection of fifteen short stories across genres, time and realities connected by one theme: video games. We all love video games, or know someone who does, so there are no excuses not to get it.
Also, this collection is pokemon free, and I know many of you will appreciate that!
Have a fantastic day
