I always use music, particularly ambient sound, to help with my writing. Sometimes it’s mood music, for a particular place or scene, but sometimes I’ll just use a site like Rainy Mood to give myself some background noise (I’m the kind of person who listens to music / podcasts as I fall asleep.)

I’ve started putting my Witherfist playlist together on Spotify here: https://open.spotify.com/user/furiousboar/playlist/1NCYNTcgeX8ZieeQ1oNLk3

@J. Graham-Jones Rainy Mood is one of my go-tos as well as Noise Machines for some variety/inspiration.

Allison C Waechter commented on Raven and Bone
I created all of the images associated with Raven and Bone (from the cover design to the associated Facebook page) using material from The British Library’s Flickr account. In 2013 the library dumped over 1 million images into the public domain and they are fascinating. While this started as a larger art project for me, so many of the images worked perfectly for the art for this book, especially given Ava’s long life as a student and Vivienne’s vast academic career. Check out the original image for this little moth graphic here. !
