Brian Fitzpatrick liked an update for The Last Faoii

Greetings, Faoii!

Some advanced copies of The Last Faoii came in today, and I’ve given myself a few minutes to adjust. The immediate pictures are taken and the squeals of delight are done. And now I’m just sitting here, holding a box of books in my lap while... bawling. Hysterically. I’m not even ashamed. This has been almost 6 years in the making. The publication process was the last and hardest step, and many MANY times I didn’t think I’d ever get through it. And now there’s a book in my hands that looks more beautiful than I ever expected. 390 pages that I didn’t think would ever exist. But you did. Hundreds of you thought it was worthy of support. For whatever reason, you chose to stand up and back me on a project I wasn’t sure could succeed, but was willing to give everything for.

I am... in awe. Humbled. Blessed.
And mostly grateful.

Thank you all.

Brian Fitzpatrick liked an update for Beyond The Code

    BIG NEWS!!!!!!!!!

I first want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have followed Beyond the Code to this point. I know it has been a long road and you don’t know what it means to me that you all have stuck in there with me. With that being said i have a big announcement to make. WE HAVE A RELEASE DATE!!!

That’s right, after this lengthy journey we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Inkshares has officially put this project into gear and the complete manuscript is in the capable hands of Chersti and Carlisa at WriterTherapy for it’s copy edit as we speak.

If all goes according to Inkshares schedule, the book should be out and about by       January 30/18.

During this time i’ll also be getting some great cover art made by the talented people at CoverKitchen. They are the minds behind the colourful cover art to Inkshares very own "Sunshine is forever" by Kyle T Cowan. I’ll keep you updated on the progress and will hopefully have something cool to show you soon.

Thanks again for all of your support thus far. I, for one, can’t wait till the winter.

Brian Fitzpatrick liked an update for Sorcery for Beginners

      Friends, Readers, and Sorcerers All,

A short update this week, but a big one:

Behold, the finished cover (front, back, and flaps)! Special thanks to Mike Rich for the amazing blurb, Mike Corley for the cover design, and Juliane Crump for the author illustrations/back cover layout. I’m really pleased with how this turned out. If I had seen this in a bookstore when I was 10, I would have freaked out. I hope you all are as excited as I am.

Secondly, I have a favor to ask. SORCERY FOR BEGINNERS was nominated as the October pick for a YA Readers Group on Goodreads. The two titles with the most votes will be exposed to nearly 10,000 readers, which would be huge for a debut title like ours. If you could take a moment to go here and vote for SORCERY FOR BEGINNERS, we’d greatly appreciate it!

More updates coming soon. Thanks again for all your support!

Brian Fitzpatrick liked an update for The Punch Escrow
          Hello readers,

I’m writing this update on my flight  back from a busy work week in Las Vegas. I have received your many emails and texts informing me that we’d crossed the 101 reviews on Amazon on Monday, and I had every intention of sending the "missing" chapter earlier in the week, but things were hectic and I wanted to do one last read through prior to sending it out. Now is the time, however, and here is your link to YOU CAN’T HURRY LOVE (THE PHIL COLLINS VERSION) - the original ending of The Punch Escrow.

A fair warning, many of you will be underwhelmed, as there is a very good reason this chapter was edited out of the book in favor of the published ending. But as so many people ask me about the editing process, I thought this would be a good example of what "we" in "the biz" call "kill your darlings." I truly enjoyed writing the Charlie Jay character, but he came into the story too late, and frankly the this chapter lacked thrills and was too neatly buttoned up. So, I hope you enjoy it, but I understand if you don’t.

In other news, word is out that Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman, the production team behind the live action Beauty and The Beast, as well as The Muppets have now officially been attached to produce The Punch Escrow movie! It’s been a very hard secret to keep, especially since meeting Todd at my Book Soup event in LA. He’s been an incredibly magnanimous and a delight to interact with. I feel lucky to have him and David working with James Bobbin on the film adaptation of my book. I had a chance to speak with Kayti Burt from Den of Geek about it during San Diego Comic Con, if you’re interested in reading a more long winded discussion about the book to movie process.

More soon. Thanks for all your support thus far, and please keep on spreading the word. The book’s success is in your hands now.

          Best,
          Tal
