Yes the struggle is real sometimes @Jamison Stone haha. I remember when I used to play Destiny all the time....I lied to my online friends and said "Oh, I don’t have a mic" because I didn’t want them to hear my voice. At one point, I revealed that I was a lady gamer and some of my friends were okay with it, but when I’d try to raid with them I was met with scorn. Even though I don’t play Destiny anymore (got bored of the game) I still remember the impact of that game.

I actually have never played Dota2 but I know many people that do! I sometimes play League of Legends (ARAM mostly) so you would probably smoke me haha! I also found some of the MOBA communities to be toxic and sadly, that’s caused one of my best girlfriends (and fellow gamer) to quit playing with me :(

I’m so excited about this book and I’m glad you are too :)

Alisa King liked an update for The Game

I got my first pre-order! I know, I know, it’s only one but, damn it, it’s still exciting. With regards to work on the book: Chapter Two is about 25% done. The majority of my time has been spent working on the overall structure. Whilst writing the prologue, I realised that Ellie works really well as a reflection of Rishley. Both are, young, fast rising, stars in their opposing worlds. They are also inexperienced and unquestioning of many aspects of the societies in which they are immersed. With this in mind, whilst the focus of the story remains Rishley’s journey, I’ve expanded Ellie’s presence within the book. Her alternative perspective will, I think, offer more interesting insights into the world.

That’s it, for now. I’m still working hard and there should be more in the near future.
