The eye is really arresting. I love the purple iris and the double-helix in the pupil. I think you should lay that over the original pattern, though. I really did like the placeholder cover!
I knew you could do it. So glad to see RISE break into the top-5. Way to go, Brian. I'm hot on the heels of 18 - 20. I could really use a push. I'd love to burst onto the leaderboard, especially considering my late start in the contest.
Thanks, Romero. I am going to do everything I can to bring this story to publication. I only need about a dozen more readers to break into the contest leaderboard and overtake the 19th or 20th spots. Please, do tell your mailman (or someone!) to help out!
On today's edition of "Well, duh" Trivia Tidbits, I figured I'd take a moment to share that Ray Bradbury is the namesake of my protagonist, A'arilon Ray.
Bit of a stall in signups, today. I haven't slid out of my place, but I'm not gaining any ground, either.
As ever, if you're one of my backers who really believes in this book, please enlist someone you know to help the cause.
I can't do it without your help.
Now, with Mastodon blasting, I'll get back to working on the book. :)
