CHAPTER THREE

Two cards slid face down on the felt clad table before her. She hovered her fingertips above them for a moment. Jack of Spades, Ace of Spades, she thought to herself. She folded the edge of the cards up slightly with her thumb; an Eight of Diamonds and a Six of Clubs. Another failure. She slowly laid the edges back down and floated her fingers over to the waiting cigarette. Betraying nothing o. . .
Ghosts and Guardians!
It has been too long! I took a much needed break and now, as promised, I am back. I am gearing up for another go at funding A Tale of Ghosts and Guardians, but before I ask for preorders, I am going to ask you to help me create some buzz. I need recommendations, comments, and likes on my Inkshares page (feel free to check out A Tale of Beasts and Brothers too!). That is the most important right now: your words about my words.
After that, I need followers, here at Inkshares, on Facebook, and over on Twitter (and Tumblr if you are so inclined) so please invite your friends and connections to follow all of those things.
When the campaign launches, you all will be the first to know. If you were unable to get your preorder in last time, be sure to set your money aside now.

CAMPERS!
The new #SunshineisForever cover is here! What do ya’ll think? Check it out!
Thanks for the support!

Hello friends
It has been a couple of weeks since you heard from me. The thing is, I’m fully immersed in the world of Bad Medicine, working hard to finish the manuscript and deliver it to Inkshares. It feels great to be back in the groove, writing every day and loving every minute of it.
The world of The Catcher’s Trap is quiet these days. I’m happy to report that the book continues to sell steadily. The novel is not close to becoming a New York Times best-seller anytime soon, but I’m happy. For a completely unknown author like me, the fact that there are people out there interested in my work and willing to pay for it is winning in life.
Remember, if you want to give me a hand, please either rate or leave a review on Amazon. Reviews help make the book more visible, and visibility is the best gift you can send my way. Also, if you read it and enjoyed it, please recommend it to your friends. Click here to leave a review.
As I said before, I am working on several side projects that I will be launching in March. A couple of days ago I received the cover art for my short story Paragon Falling. I will be giving this story away for free on Amazon as a way to promote my writing. The idea is to publish a free short story every month, with the hopes to compile them into a book of short stories to be released next year.

That’s it. Short and sweet. Before I go just a quick reminder that the campaign for The Catcher’s Trap sequel is active. You can support here.
Have a great week!
Ricardo
I am delighted to report that I completed my manuscript and sent it off to the Inkshare editors today! It feels amazing to have the novel done and on its way to being published! I couldn’t be happier with how the story turned out and believe you’ll find it to be a compelling page turner. If you haven’t purchased a copy for yourself or loved ones yet, now is the time. You can still pre-order and reserve your ebook or paperback copy, so that it arrives immediately. Go to https://www.inkshares.com/books/apex.
Cheers, Debbie
Welcome to February everyone! By now, hopefully everyone has gotten their books. Some of you, may have started reading by now. So I’ve come to bring you artwork;
This is an image of a hairless squirrel cat rodent rat demon thingy that steals tacos and eats pizza. His name is Sparkles.

Say Hello. Brandwyn did this wonderful little critter, and is working on another demon that will be revealed later. You can find more of her artwork here.
Now this brings us to reviews! If you’ve read the book (liked or disliked) I would very much appreciate it if you left me a review. Rankings, Algorithms, Search Engines, are all based on reaching bench-marks of reviews--so the more reviews I get, the better chances the book has out in the wild.

Finally, I just want to say thank you to everyone for all the support. The book is finally out! From here on out, I’ll be posting updates through here maybe once a month. Based on new artwork, con news, or other progress updates on the sequel. I’ve also got a short story about Akira I’ll be bringing out this year as well.
Gah! ~Rick.
