I think this story and author has a ton of potential.  While some sections are structurally flawed (and aren't we all?) there is a ton of great imagery and hints to a much wider story that I am looking forward to reading as it is produced.

It almost feels like there's a fairy tale quality to the narrative voice!

It is mind changing, what you are thinking while putting words into play. Also, when you wrote "Bardolf cannot stop thinking about Julissa and his ......" should that not be "her".....?

Such a clever take on a fantasy with a fairytale twist. A very engaging read.
