Sounds great! I like your statement that just because "gluten-free" has become a fad doesn't mean there's not merit in cutting back on processed gluten-containing foods. Also, I'm a vegetarian, so that's a fit as well. Any chance you can share one of your favorite recipes as a "teaser" or send to the backers in an update? I'm curious as to the direction you (now we) are headed! Thanks for writing this, Kris
Hooray!!
I've reached 100 backers via Inksharesfor my book One Murder More! Thank you for your generous support! That said, I still have a ways to go to meet my goal, necessary to see publication this summer. You can help a great deal by asking one friend or family member to join you in advance-purchasing my book. Note that an individual request from you will do more than any blast or post that I can initiate. So if you possibly can, please think of that one person (someone who reads mystery novels, likes politics or is simply generous of spirit?) and ask them to be part of this "virtual book launch"!
In any case, thanks for everything, you're helping to break ground on a new way to publish!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Only 3 weeks into crowdsourcing through Inkshares and thanks to you I'm nearly 40% of goal with 90 backers! If you are able to share this link on FB or Twitter, that will be a huge help in getting the rest of the way there. https://www.inkshares.com/projects/one-murder-more Also, I want to congratulate Jerilyn Schmidt, the winner of the first random drawing among backers of One Murder More. Jerilyn will receive a $50 Amazon gift card! (There will be a drawing monthly until we reach goal--I'll keep you posted.) At this rate, it won't be long until One Murder More: A Maren Kane Mystery is on Kindle and in bookstores! You are the best--Kris
The killer as the only one who believes there was a victim is a great premise. But it is hard to imagine how that will flow through the plot into "creation of a new type of therapy". Still, based on what you have shown here I'm willing to bet your story will be innovative, well-written and ultimately worth it. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you so much for your support! Things are progressing well--ONE MURDER MORE is 22% funded in only a week! But now it gets a little harder since I've asked the people I know well --I'm so honored that so many of you came through. Now the publishers will put in money of their own for every backer I get in the next 72 hours, so I'm working hard on that goal. If you can think of one friend or family member who enjoys mystery novels, likes politics or might just want to help an aspiring author, please consider sharing the ONE MURDER MORE link with them. But in any case, what you have already done has meant so much, thank you, thank you!!!
Tantalizing, beautifully written pitch. And timely. I facilitate focus groups with "vaccine-hesitant" parents to try to understand why they are so afraid of vaccines, but not afraid of the diseases. (The latter, as you note, are barely offstage planning a return engagement.) Yours is an important project, it may save lives. I can't wait to read it.
I absolutely LOVE your illustrations! But I was surprised by the planned length of the book--4 pages. Is that right? Also, it's great to know the theme, but can you share a little more about the story? (I'm assuming Layla builds a treehouse…) I'm looking forward to seeing the book!
Joshua,
